Exactly! It's catchy as fuck and the lyrics are very cool. Like you said, not very profound, but I'd rather have Serge knock out some crazy, non-nonsensical lyrics that sound absolutely badass instead of being all preachy (I'm looking at you Where Did All The Love Go?).
I mean "Banshie I hear you call We need to raise the dead we need to raise the people! Cut throat this blood runs thick It is true The simple things in life have been lost You have got to witness We are the last beatniks The lost heretics"
That is just fucking cool.

Yeah I feel exactly the same, it's just the kind of tune you just stick on the iPod and feel invincible walking down the street, it captures the Oasis sneer brilliantly. Which is something I always loved about Oasis, the lyrics usually make very little logical sense, but it works, whether it has Noel's soul-searching passion or Liam's venom, it works!
Veering off topic here...

Walking around while listening to Take Aim does the same. When the drums come in, it's massive!

Kasabian's album is great but I wouldn't change a thing in DOYS until AGN starts...

Here's the best way to compare albums - give each track a score out of 10, the one with the highest total wins! Simple!
DOYS 1. Bag It Up, 10/10 2. The Turning, 10/10 3. Waiting For The Rapture, 9/10 4. The Shock Of The Lightning, 10/10 5. I'm Outta Time, 8/10 6. High Horse Lady, 5/10 7. Falling Down, 10/10 8. To Be Where There's Life, 8/10 9. Ain't Got Nothin', 4/10 10. The Nature Of Reality, 6/10 11. Soldier On, 7/10 Total: 87
1. Underdog, 7/10 2. Where Did All The Love Go, 8/10 3. Swarfiga, 4/10 4. Fast Fuse, 10/10 5. Take Aim, 6/10 6. Thick As Thieves, 7/10 7. West Ryder/Silver Bullet, 10/10 8. Vlad The Impaler, 10/10 9. Ladies And Gentlemen, 8/10 10. Fire, 9/10 11. Happiness, 6/10 Total: 85
It's a close one! DOYS just shades it though

Oh bollocks I forgot West Ryder had 12 tracks...that's my theory out the window then! Umm...if you had enough time on your hands you could work out the average score of each album, but I have better things to do...

Secret Alphabets is another 10/10 song incidentally...can't believe I forgot that one, one the best on the album!
