Perez admitted that Los Blancos are looking to bring in an estimated six new players, but the 62-year-old conceded that attempts to sign Liverpool midfielder and Spain international Xabi Alonso could be entirely in vain. "He [Xabi Alonso] is a great player but he also plays in a big team and I haven't heard any news that they plan to sell him", he said. goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/06/09/1315605/real-madrid-give-up-chase-for-liverpool-star-xabi-alonsoClearly that policy doesn't apply to Manchester United players.

He says the same about all players until he signs them. today news say Real Madrid could send Negredo and money to Liverpool in exchange. it's gonna be a difficult deal, not as Ronaldo case.
Anyways, media talk about lots of players to come. it's obvious not all of them will be made.

Yes, but the same doesn't apply to Man Utd because Alonso doesn't persistently flirt with Real like Ronaldo. Plus the fact that Liverpool have got Benitez as manager might mean Perez doesn't want to make him unhappy, considering he has been touted as a possible future manager for Madrid.

Plus the fact that Liverpool have got Benitez as manager might mean Perez doesn't want to make him unhappy, considering he has been touted as a possible future manager for Madrid. As if any madrid directive, and particularly that one, had the tiniest sense of ethic. They've always played dirty, for many decades, as a dirty club that they are. Don't expect any politeness or warmth of any kind. They have been making an absolute fool of themselves in the Champions League for more than 5 years so they'll do anything to change that.

dirty?? C'mon man, Barça supporters throw pig heads and JB bottles to the field and Barça didn't even have his stadium closed... They rejected playing a cup match and didn't get banned as any other club would have been. Many stars (Maradona, Romario, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Deco...) has left talking bad about the club. 60% of the associates wanted to bump the president last year and now he's god. the one who won elections by saying Beckham would play for Barça... in the summer he signed for Real Madrid. yes, what an example for the world
