it just didnt seem to have an impact at all i saw them at sheffield at the start of the tour and fuckin in the bushes went down like a house on fire, but at heaton park it was rubbish! maybe it was because it was daylight or maybe because of the 70,000 people there each nite, 7,000 were actually hardcores who sang every word most fans didnt even know the words to my big mouth.......

Yeah i thought that aswell.. i was also at one of the sheffield arena gigs and when that came on the fucking roof went off it was mad.. not so much then.. maybe coz the crowd is kinda split and the barrier is alot further away im not sure really. And yeah bout my big mouth i was thinkin to myself before it came on .. hmm i bet no one around me knows the words and surley enough me and 1 lass were singing and ppl trying to get the chorus right etc.. i love it in tht dropped key though

maybe to do with it being open air, and the sound gets lost abit?
they should bring back Swamp Song to start, then Liam walks out near the ean - a la 1996

Also in the arenas beforehand you get the "lights down to 60%" where they actually turn the lights down (obviously you can't turn daylight down) it all helps build it up and also the as well as the reasons above.

I noticed this aswell on the Saturday, it came on and everyone just stood there.... I was at the barrier and was expecting people to go mental.

It definatley caught me and my lot off guard, what with there being no warning.
Did anyone notice, that on the Thursday, during the intro there was a small glitch in the sound. I remember thinking "that don't sound too good", it only lasted about 2 seconds.

it will sound much better in the stadiums, they always help keep the sound better

ruudvan05, couldnt agree with you more. I went on thursday n it seemed to start out of nothing. I was just chatting to my mate and then I was like "Fuck, it's on!" and started going mental but it was really quiet and not many people seemed arsed by it.

the only reason i can think is that it either wasnt loud/dark enough or people where too worn out after kasabians monsterous set!!
but ive seen like wembley 2000 and manchester 2005 on dvd and the crowd still went wild when fuckin in the bushes came on, even though it was daylight

TBWTL was a highlight for me, me and mate going mental when the drums kick back on the outro, only ones who seemed to know it.

personally i dont think much of outside gigs. Inside an arena or closed venue, the sound echoes everywhere, its louder, almost pitch black when the lights are out and i can just FEEL it in the air. At the Staples Center last year, the track hit like lightning! But 'ive never been to any open air show so..can't really judge.

Id agree too. Whilst Heaton Park was probably the best time i've seen Oasis, in terms of their performance, i would still say i prefer the arena gigs for the atmosphere.
