6,000 people in Chicago?
Yeah, sure. The All State arena holds nearly 20,000 for a concert and the entire lower bowl and floor were filled and the top deck about 2/3's.
A more realistic estimate would be 12-15,000.
I was there.

When Oasis played theaters the crowds were sooooo much better, I rather them play 3 nights some where (which they have) and have a better quality crowds. I am presuming if this is all true because I have heard from the same source as Erin that Boston is booked, they might think touring Canada in August counts as enough NA this tour, no offense my Canadian friends...:/ but this sucks...

I am completely convinced all the "They're not coming back" talk is nonsense...to be honest this is the most successful US Tour they've had in a decade....they'd be stupid not to come back and build on that momentum

i would say the dbtt us tour was a bigger success, they definitely got bigger audiences back in 2005 than on the tour in last december

Yeah I agree. The crowds in America suck. I had bronchitis when I saw them and I still jumped and screamed my head off like I was healthy. Hmmm this is pretty bad news for me. Well at least by the time they tour again here, I'll have more money for better seats and tour merchandise! ;D I understand i mean there are a few that give it there best shot ... but most of the people are just quite and hardly move... as jilliam said this also puts a bearing on the performance of the band. i dunno about your guys' experiences but Chicago was pretty rocking. I saw a lot of people dancing around and having a really good time. In fact the guys were even commenting afterwards on how good of a crowd it was in Chicago, so.. idk. Guess it all depends on where you see them at here.

I hope they fired whoever it was that was booking them those big arenas last winter.
Sitting in some 3/4 empty, cold echoey arena in the middle of winter is a sure fire way to kill the spirits.
They might have milked a couple more dollars out of it - but I doubt they did their reputation as a live act any favors.

The crowd are always quite and dead in america,,, i was at the LA Staples and people were sitting down complaining when people stood up FFS..Compared to the Uk,S.america the crowd are fucking having it! i have seen Oasis in england twice and the crowd were really great... I mean Oasis have toured america in December the played a few big shows to give the chane for more people wanting to see them. But not all of the gigs were completly sold out. the only gigs that sold out were ... Madison square gardens and vegas. americans listen to the music. i was jumping up and down during rnrs in colorado last december, and everybody around me was looking at me like i was insane. and that was only the first song. given, it was in the middle of a snowstorm... you know this is an american forum, right?

To set the record straight: I've attended Oasis shows on this tour so far at ... Staples Center: Completely sold out, top show. Montreal: Completely sold out. Too drunk to comment Toronto Festival: Turnout was decent - you know the rest. I was at Air Canada Centre for DBTT tour and that was a GREAT show. Completely sold out. Love T.O. NYC MSG: Best show I saw so far this tour, sold out to the rafters. Also top show I saw for DBTT except for Nashville on final leg. Chicago: Underwhelming. Arena was indeed half full. Should've blocked off the upper deck. Bad choice of venue. I totally agree about the theatre thing. They should be booking theatres in every city U.S. city except NYC and LA. The Kool-Aid drinkers can pretend they are still a huge draw in cities besides NYC and LA, but the sad reality is I've been to many shows now where they barely drew 50% capacity in arenas. That's just reality. The economy here just makes things worse. In a perverse way, that's a good thing, since seeing the lads in a theatre is a f'ing awesome experience. The best show I've ever seen Oasis play was at the Ryman In Nashville for DBTT. I wish every Oasis fan here could've been there that night, it was magical. I'll be at Wembley in few weeks. Look forward to it. Stadiums in the UK are OK. But festivals, the sound and view is so horrible that if you aren't high, I don't really see the point. (Not that there's anything wrong with being high for them - just not my cup of tea anymore. Enjoy.) I do think they will come back to the States in the Spring next year, I don't think they'll leave money on the table if there's some to be made. BUT I've yet to get confirmation. Everyone here will be the first to know if I hear anything.

I come onto this forum most of the time just to see if they've announced anything for a US tour. I'm happy to see the stadium tour, but I'm also insanely jealous lol

I’m on here daily in the hope that a tour to Australia has been announced. Noel confirmed earlier in the tour that they would be coming here but it’s looking less likely with each week that passes without an announcement….

well billboard box office ticket sales records show that the gigs in december were sold out or only had a few 100 tickets left but for some reason oasis were only allocated so many tickets for each gig.

Man, I'm really banking on a show in Boston. My friends and I drove nine hours in a snowstorm to attend the show in Camden after our final exams, and we missed the first four songs. I know American fans aren't the best, but what can you expect from playing huge arenas. Oasis' management is just begging for casual fans to come and stand around for Wonderwall and Supernova. If God-forbid, they played smaller venues in more cities, especially the southeast and plains, the diehards would make up the majority of the audience, making it a much more enjoyable experience for the band and the fans....with a slight decrease in profits hahaha.

It's almost July. I just don't see them coming back to the U.S. There was a news report on here talking about Liam and it mentioned other things that Liam has been up to etc., and it mentioned as the touring stops in August Liam will be starting a possible acting role and continue on his clothes line.
I hope i'm wrong but they tour (especially overseas) to support recent albums. By Sept-Oct, the album will be a year old. They did 2 different stretches over here already. It was MUCH weaker than the DBTT tour and never hit the Southwest or Southeast.

i can see them doing a few big shows before the tour ends, the arena tour was a success in december ,gotta remember they dont allocate the tickets for gigs like they do in europe ,but from this video i think you can see the staples centre was a sellout

For the last time: Chicago was not "half-full".
A week before the show there were ZERO floor or lower bowl tickets avail on t-master- I know because I was checking every couple of hours or so. The "best available" were in the last ten or so rows in the upper tank.
I was in the third row and when I looked round the enitre lower area and floor were full...the upper about half to 3/4.
I could care less about how they sell over here, I'm just trying to set the record straight.
I guarantee you at least 13,000 tix were sold for the show- prolly closer to 17.
They would sell out the 2500 seat Chicago theatre this fall in a few hours if they announced it.

And whomever mentioned it, the tour isn't over till October.
