Well Oasis are set to headline if ya somehow didnt know, announced with The Prodigy as main support.

Glasvegas and Irish act the Blizzards were announced today along with Kasabian who support them through the UK legs of their tour!

What a lineup!!!

Personally I didnt want Kasabian to play as I'll be seeing them the next day down the Marquee in Cork but I fucking love them and will be a great weekend. Get to see The Prodigy for the first time, love this band aswell and Glasvegas who I've really got into the last few months. The Blizzards have supported many acts that I have seen but I never caught their set.

How many others are going to this mega day!?

I'm glad to see Kasabian finally officially confirmed, The Prodigy I've always been looking forward to and The Blizzards have put in a few blistering performances in recent years at Oxegen, but to be honest, I'm a little underwhelmed.

Waiting six months or so from hearing the originally predicted line-up with the promise of more, only to have the addition of The Blizzaeds and Glasvegas, no offence to Glasvegas fans, but I can't stand them. Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic concert lineup and I absolutely cannot wait, but I think Slane have done better in previous years. Maybe I was a bit too hopeful to expect the addition of a band along the lines of the Manics or Stereophonics, but it doesn't matter, forget this whining, it'll be fantastic!

Can anyone recommend inexpensive hotel or hostel close to the bus station? Bus service I think is every 20 minutes to Slane and I am travelling down from Enniskillen on the 20th.
