I don't see why you're comparing the Stone Roses debut with Dig Out Your Soul. The Stone Roses first album is one of the best albums of all time . Dig Out Your Soul is very good, but in no way is in the same class.

Im fed up of all the oasis die hards wearing tinted glasses (oasis my fav band ) the gospel truth in the cold light of day is this,they try to use the beatles to influence them ,liam will never b lennon , im outta time will never b up there with (imagine) and did they ever bloody stop to think the beatles released an album once somtimes two every year ....NOT EVERY 3-4YRS!!!!! AND TO ALL THOSE WHO THINK DIG OUT YOUR SOUL MERITS 3 YRS WORK !!! UTTER RUBBISH ..it wouldnt even have made a b-side in the b here now era , THE STONE ROSES ALBUM IS 20 YEARS OLD ..and i think its BETTER !! than dig out your soul my point is people still listen to the roses album I Wanna Be Adored 2. Waterfall 3. She Bangs The Drums 4. Don't Stop 5. Bye Bye Badman 6. Elizabeth My Dear 7. Song For My Sugar Spun Sister 8. Made Of Stone 9. Shoot You Down 10. This Is The One 11. I Am The Resurrection NOW DOES ANYONE THINK THEY SHALL STILL B LISTENING TO DIG OUT YOUR SOUL IN 20 YRS TIME!!!  You can't compare these 2 albums cos they have nothing common. However, to me, The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses was, is and will always be one the greatest albums all the time while Dig Out Your Soul is the worst Oasis album. |

If the Stone Roses were making albums in 2009, I guarantee you they would be of a similar quality to DOYS.
Comparing a late Oasis album to a classic from 20 years ago is stupid.

Can You list the songs from DM and then tell me how good The Stone Roses 7th Album was? Totally agree. I love Dig out your soul, people just seem to want to moan constantly about it. I'm happy as hell Oasis are still recording albums and didnt split up years ago. I love Oasis, but a Noel only album to me would be full of his usual slowies, dont get me wrong theyre often very good songs but give me Liam anytime over Noel and his ballads. |

You can't compare these 2 albums cos they have nothing common. However, to me, The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses was, is and will always be one the greatest albums all the time while Dig Out Your Soul is the worst Oasis album. I'm not some fan who thinks every Oasis song is the best thing since sliced bread but i'm stunned you think DOYS is the worst album. I love 9 of the 11 songs on the album, think its exceptional. Noel doing a solo album will be full of the usual slow ballads which after a while can be dull. |

I'd never thought of comparing these two albums... I've always thought a closer comparison is be here now and second coming. Just because of everything that was going on.. everything besides the music haha. Basically huge ego's writing 'huge' music. I love both albums for that reason.
