One thing I'd like to know - what is Noel saying in that distorted voice in D'you Know What I Mean? He says it a few times, sounds like "People, people, why" or something Good question. I was wondering that myself, as I was watching the "D'You Know What I Mean?" video, looking for the "Yes you did line" (which still amazes me - good find, Forestfan.) I always thought it was just some backwards vocal added in, but Noel mouths it during the video. All your answers are right here right now: |

At the end of The Shock Of The Lightning you can hear Champagne Supernova being played backwards At the end of Carry Us All Noel shouts "I've pulled me fucking groin!" which is a reference to Ringo Starr's "I've got blisters on my fingers!" complaint at the end of Helter Skelter The Morse code in D'you Know What I Mean? translates as "Pork pie", "Bugger all" and "Strawberry fields forever" One thing I'd like to know - what is Noel saying in that distorted voice in D'you Know What I Mean? During the long pause between "Better Man" and the hidden track "The Cage" you can hear at some point Noel or somebody humming very softly, I'm not quite sure if it's one of their songs or what but yeah..

In the second bridge of DYOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN liam goes " I met my maker and made him cry" and someone probably Noel goes very softly, but im not going mad "Yes you did" listen up its there!! absolutely fantastic!! ;D cant believe i found this..a moment of genius let me blow my own trumpet |

I think its referring to it being a Beatles song..saying "Doesn't matter if its our tune" because they are covering a song that is not theirs, then says something about "John and Paul" (another Beatle reference), then says something else to the extent where I think he repeats the John and Paul line then they go into the song

A couple items I realized later on..
Slide Away: Noel sings "and i'm gonna try now, gonna make you mine now" I only found this after hearing Noel's acoustic version from Chicago 98. He's never, as far as I've heard, sang those lines in any other acoustic version.
Masterplan: You can hear someone sing parts of "Octupus's garden" at the end.
Sad song and Don't look back in anger: During some live versions, Noel will change the lines like "cuz we all stay the same... to cuz you're all still the same" or "cuz you said the brains I had went to my head .... to cuz you said the brains you had went to your head".
A couple questions or debates I've always had...
Born on a different cloud: Who repeatly sings the line "Born on a different cloud" near the end of the song. Sometimes it sounds like Liam, sometimes Noel.
Who feels love demo version: What is Noel saying in the beginning? All i can make out is "at any given point".
