And I didn't vote for it because it was the 'cool thing' to do as someone mentioned. I did it cause I thought it was shite.

I seriously dont get how people can call DOYS shit. rap is shit, hip hop is shit, all those indie bands around at the moment (fratellies, kooks, pidgeon detectives, kaiser chiefs) them and there albums are shit, DOYS is not shit just because you dont like it. how anyone can say its worse than HC is fucking beyond me. HC is easily the worst in my opinion although i still think its a great album. oasis dont make shit albums

Well look at that, honeymoon period is over, seems like people are finally starting to take a more realistic view on DOYS. You're an idiot. The same people who hated DOYS still hate it, and the same people who liked it still like it. And with more people like it than hating it, I would have to consider DOYS i great success. Hence the increasing amount of criticism. I think Noel knows that if those other two tracks were on it, It would have been something. Instead he had to do with what he had  |

But they're set up really well for a good EP8. I said in 2005 that they hav eturned the corner, and are set up well for a good EP7, and even if u disagree DOYS was seen as a success and an improvement upon DBTT! EP? Do you mean LP? Blimey, we're busting out the old terminology on this one. |

Falling Down my be lyrical genious, but the intstrumentation is lack luster to say the least. SCYHO has both in quite strong form. |

But i can totally see where people are coming from when they think its a bland typical Oasis ballad. I mean its got the piano, its got guitar outro, its got the building chorus. I'm not saying I think it is a boring stale ballad but i can see the how people think it is. With FD the instrumentation or whatever it just brilliant. The bridge while it may not be hard is top stuff. The mellotron is just brilliant. Its got a scattering bass and guitar lick. The fading in and out of Noel's vocals as well as the reverb are great production moves by Sardy. All in all i think both are some of Noel's finest. |

I think this sort of poll is a bit stupid because ALL Oasis fans are split about each album. Its fair to say that most - nearly all fans - think Definitely Maybe is THE BEST album Oasis have done, and MOST would agree that WTSMG follows that in greatness. The rest is completely open, in my opinion anyway, because each of the 'other' albums are brilliant in there own right - Be Here Now defines Oasis in more ways than Definitely Maybe and WTSMG ever did and ever will, with long rocky songs and the best Guitar solos, but as far as being PURE rock n roll, it just doesn't compare to the first 2 albums. SOTSOG delved into the psychedelic part of things, and go let it out is up there with Oasis' best songs in my opinion. Heathen Chemistry is one that I personally have no problem with at all, and I just can't see why so many fans dislike this album, it has some great songs on it - Hindu Times, songbird, SCYHO, Little By Little - great songs. DBTT was another great album, Lyla, Let there be Love and TIOBI being the highlights of that one in my opinion. And DOYS is Liams finest hour in my opinion - I'm outta time is the best song on that album by far,also his singing is in the best from since BHN, and that has carried on to the tour, so you can't ask for more than that from him.
