The same people who hated DOYS still hate it, and the same people who liked it still like it. And with more people like it than hating it, I would have to consider DOYS i great success. |

DOYS is the worst by far. It's got some decent chunes on it and whatnot but I mean, just not a good album

It's got some decent chunes on it and whatnot but I mean, just not a good album No way in hell can is it worse than AQP, HIABP, FON, BM Then there's the average dull tunes like SIL (which i do like mind), PAITM, BOADC.... The only good tunes from HC are THT, SCYHO, LBL, SB Sorry, DOYS pisses all over HC - it's more ambitious, it's bold, it's full on rock (compared to the dull and uninspired travesty that is HC) |

its almost like the "cool thing" to hate on DOYS these days. Really the album is pretty fucking good. Its not close to touching DM, MG but its a pretty damn good album. TT was a classic from the first time i heard it, TSOTL rocks as hard as anything during the 90s, WFTR never gets the praise it deserves (neither does the alt version) its got a great middle 8 and is one Noel best sung tunes ever, BIU was one of the best outros ever from them and no oasis tune sounds like it. FD is great, IOT is a bit unfinished but it does have one of Liam's best vocals and that makes up for the repetitive lyrics. HHL is deemed as one of the worst oasis tunes but i love it. It shouldn't work (repetitive lyrics and such) but Noel just pulls it off some how and it break up the album nicely. TNOR again is nothing special but Liam sneer is top and i like the guitar track. TBWTL is my favorite Gem tune. Its just groovy its got a killer bass line and it kinda reminds me of death in vegas track that liam did for some reason. SO is a decent closer probably their second worst after BM but it does fit the album nicely. DOYS isn't a classic but again like DBTT and SOTSOG if they could just get the tracks right and take their time i have no doubt that they will release another true classic album.

DBTT is a more complete album - it flows better. BHN is amazingly rocking and sing songy. But DOYS holds its own, too. I don't think its "cool" to hate DOYS cos I feel most Oasis fans like the album. Yes, AGN, HHL, AGN are all poor by Oasis standard. But are they as bad as HIUABP? AQP? FON? BM? ICSAL? LJ? PYMWYMI? No, IMO (apart from TNOR - I don't really like that tune, apart from the solo). DOYS is basically BHN done right - properly produced, good lyrics, not extensively long tracks. And I feel LP8 will be a true rival to WTSMG - sing-songy and epic. We'll see and wait. But Oasis have turned a page since 2005 with DBTT and DOYS, I have more faith in this band now. They're on the up since SOTSOG and HC...... |

Sure u can like DOYS more than DBTT etc, fine whatever.
But there's no denying they care more and are more passionate since 2005. The band is as passionate and as most stable as it's ever been. If you don't likfe DOYS, that's fine, it's your own opinion.
But they're set up really well for a good EP8.
I said in 2005 that they hav eturned the corner, and are set up well for a good EP7, and even if u disagree DOYS was seen as a success and an improvement upon DBTT!
Oasis have never been in such a good state.
As much as I love and appreciate SOTSOG and HC, part of me wishes DOYS followed BHN and the next album.
Oasis are sitll so so so so so relevant around the world, it's not even funny. I fucking love this band. The music from 1994 to present, to what they stand for personally, this band is really once in a life time (sure they may have never fully hit the heights of the Beatles, but we'll never see a rock band compared to the beatles in our lifetime, except Oasis, and that says a lot, imo).
Long live the band of our generation (90s-200s). No one, NO ONE, can touch the Gallagher brothers.

Don't Believe The Goof is their worst offering to date.
SOTOSG and HC may have shocking songs but they also have a handfull of tracks that beat the shit out of DBTT in the long run.
