Conficker.
EDIT: Sorry, that's probably not your problem, but I would do a virus check.

that post was very confusing ;D what the hell is blueyonder toolbar?
it sounds like a background program is trying to access a restricted memory address. like joey said, run a virus/malware/spyware scan. are you using IE? try updating windows security patches also.
if it happens again, do a print screen and post it to see what it is exactly.

If you just download Firefox and install it, Firefox will give you the option of making it your default browser. You can also import bookmarks and other stuff automatically.

yes, you can have both installed at the same time and use either one of them.
it's like having 2 media players. if you install winamp, you don't need to uninstall windows media player, you just choose to use the other one.

i appreciate your help people & thanks, just a question though if i installed firefox would i lose my favourites list or would some pages not be accessed,i just wondered if it'd affect anything else.Im soo rubbish with computers. also i have a media converter page when i add links from youtube & convert vids to mp4 so i can watch em on my ipod but the site's now gone down,i had this message today Dear user of mediaconverter.org You are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0. This browser is out-of-date and does not support the latest web standards. Media Converter requires a newer browser like Firefox, Safari or IE 7/8 to work properly. You can get one of these browser at the following websites: Firefox: www.mozilla.com Safari: www.apple.com IE 7: www.microsoft.com Thank you for your understanding! If you are using IE 8 please disable the compatibility mode. my comp always takes about 5 mins to just turn off,i always click on startr at bottom left off my screen then turn off computer, then once i click on turn off it's then wwhen i have to wait ages just for it to turn off,it's all mad.
