So dominating the best league in the world for nearly 2 decades doesn't give us the title of one of the "top teams ever"?? A couple more wins this season puts us on par with Liverpool with the most league titles for English clubs, and make us the only team to win 3 straight leagues twice in history. (1999-2001, and hopefully 2007-2009). Add our unique treble to that, and you've definitely got one of the Greatest teams ever, right up there with Real.
And United's got another team in the making, while apart from a few, most of Real's players are enjoying their peak at the moment. Players like Foster, Evans, Rafael and Fabio, Fletcher (whos still 25 alarmingly!!), Nani, Wellbeck, Macheda and Rooney are only going to get better. And if we win the Champion's league again this season, with Real once again crashing out in the first KO round, I think it will be terribly hard for Ronaldo to leave the World champions for them.

he never once stated publicly that he wanted to play for Real Madrid, and certainly not before they came wading in with unsolicited offers left, right and centre. We forgave him because we realise his value to our club, and because we believe that he wants to play for Manchester United. He's proven his loyalty on the pitch, both this season and last. he did after losing vs germany on europe cup, and later on portuguese newspaper A bola. if that's loyalty... congrats for the success and I am the arrogant cu_nt? well, then speak when you have 1 more than Liverpool. now you set other countries rules? well, if a basic rule that everyone knows and takes in consideration is a "technicality" for you, what can I say. and just one detail, we haven't been ever in 2nd division

Casillas is 27, but as gk he can play 8 more years at top level. that's a young team too. in conclusion: RM is the biggest team ever, officially named "Best 20th century team" by FIFA. Manchester plays better right now, but are still far to reach our level. I'm not denying it's one of the big clubs in the world, what I say is that it is not in the same level as RM, Milan or Boca Juniors.

for supersonic: you post links of english media, I can post spanish newspaper that say he is signed. and what do we have? the player saying he wanted to leave. after winning europe cup. too much for you, eh? what makes a club bigger? not history because it's against your argument? not your star wanting to leave you and coming here, even after winning europe cup? your club being sold to american rich men, instead of choosing a president? you're bigger cos you sell more shirts in Asia? our former president was the worst one in our history, but yet managed to win leagues. and ferguson showed he's more stupid than him with his declarations. oh, sorry, that must be heresy

Are they less than six months old? what makes a club bigger? not history because it's against your argument? not your star wanting to leave you and coming here, even after winning europe cup? your club being sold to american rich men, instead of choosing a president? you're bigger cos you sell more shirts in Asia? I'm not denying that history is a factor - we've got plenty of that ourselves, and yes, we're a better club for it. I'm just saying that the number of trophies in your cabinet is not the only factor in determining which club is bigger than which. There are an immeasurable number of contributing factors, and they're not all played out on the pitch. The simple point I was trying to make, and one that you've admitted to yourself, is that Manchester United are presently a better side than Real Madrid, and therefore Ronaldo has less inclination to move; even more so if we go on to reinforce our dominance with another league and European Cup double. Oh, and one last thing: stop talking about the Glazer takeover. You clearly know fuck all about it.

Nice video, by the way. I could post irrelevant clips of goals that happened nine years ago too. But I won't.

you post links of english media, I can post spanish newspaper that say he is signed. Do they quote him directly? Are they less than six months old? yes, they quote him directly. and since Eurocup was last summer, no, they are not less than 6 months ago, they were from the period of transfers. what makes my point that he said he wanted to come, but when he saw he wouldn't said he was ok there. let's make an exercise: history is past. 20th century is past. best team of 20th century is a help to know who is historically the best team. which one was designed by FIFA? not you. such as... Ferguson being a gentleman, for example? all his bitching on other premier coaches contributes? the owners? they play better right now, which doesn't mean the institution is bigger. If you don't want to believe he wanted to leave, even he said it, even his family said it... well, I can understand you, it must be frustrating your star wants to leave for other team although you win all the trophies in the world. but it's difficult to me, you know, in my club it hasn't happened. and I think you have to understand him, top players are ambitious and he wants to grow. it's simple after all I know the results, man. when they're tired they'll sell the team to an arab prince or a russian bussiness man, who just want it to show it to friends. kinda funny, sounds like a trophy girl and about the video, it was on 2000, yes, but it means something, after all you were the current champions of europe. and defeated in your own field

If you're so patronising that you genuinely think that Real Madrid currently represent a step up from the reigning - and possible defending - champions of England and Europe, then you're fucking delusional and I'm not gonna bother arguing with you anymore.

I've said ManU play better recently, but that is not enough to be a greatest club like RM or Liverpool. Oporto won UEFA cup, and next year champions league. a big achievement, but doesn't make them the best team ever. I'll send you a pic with my new CR9 shirt this summer

Real Madrid are fucking crap at the moment. Ronaldo would be mad to go there.
A classic Clásico at the weekend. Barca absolutely muderised them.

Who's going to play instead of Fletcher then? Scholes?

Who's going to play instead of Fletcher then? Scholes? I'd expect Scholesy to start on the bench, in all honesty. My guess would be Anderson. Van Der Sar O'Shea Vidic Ferdinand Evra Park Carrick Anderson Ronaldo Rooney Berbatov That's what I expect we'll be seeing in Rome.
