He could quickly go from Hero to Zero, I actually like Shearer, good luck to him.
He will need it with a 3rd bottom club 1st time managing. If he had Man City's money then it would be a differnt story!

Being on some NUFC forums i think we'll forgive him if we get rellegated this season. TBF it isnt his fault if we do. Hopefully he can do what Keegan did the first time he was in charge. I do think he has a decent chance of keeping us up this season.

If he had Man City's money then it would be a differnt story! City have done nothing with their money but prove that you can buy failure.

TBF if Marck Hughes is in full controll of transfers then i agree with you 100% but if he isn't then City can't ever expect anything other than mid table mediocracy

As if anyone expected us to beat Chelsea We'll beat Fulham and Villa last two games of the season. Should be able to pick up a few points along the way and stay up at the expense of the makems. WB and Boro are down

WB and Boro are down a fair number of poeple expected you to magically beat chelsea because of the shearer effect. what makes you so sure you will beat fulham who beat man utd and only lost 1-0 to liverpool. as for villa you have no chance.

Neither team have anything to play for by the time we play them. And we already beat Villa this season. Only a few idiots thought we'd beat Chelsea

If your lot do manage to survive, there'll be one simple explanation, and it sure as fuck ain't anything to do with Alan Shearer. (it's Hull)

Must admit I felt sorry for Shearer today. The bloke looked like he wanted to kick the fuck out of half of his players. And I don't think anyone can blame him. Collectively, if they'd shown even half of the determination that he showed in a Newcastle shirt, they'd probably still be a Premiership club.
Mercenaries.

I can empathise because I realise that Newcastle fans are genuinely passionate about their club, certainly more so than the likes of Middlesbrough and Hull, and deserve better than to watch a bunch of talentless, half-arsed Sunday league footballers bleed their club dry. Hull were a fucking joke today. No effort from either their players or their fans. They'll be for the drop next season, I reckon.

I'd say so. 1 win in 22 games is not good enough to be in the Premiership. Phil Brown hogged as much of the lime light as he could at the end. couldn't imagine Shearer siging "we are staying up" into a microphone. Our fans were great today (but then again they usually are). Quess we have a chance to get rid of the deadwood, Butt, Owen, Viduka and start afresh. I just hope we don't turn out like Leeds...
