Dig out your soul for me 100%.
DBTT was a great return to form but theres a fair few tracks on there I'm not keen on. Dig out your soul i love all the songs bar 1.

this man speaks the truth. Only his 'own' truth. The whole world knows the reality of DOYS. DOYS is much below expectations. Aren't you just speaking YOUR own truth? The fact that there are fewer single-style tracks on DOYS doesn't make it a shit record. I think they are both very good albums. It's good for the band to make a DOYS - they actually tried new things, which is a bloody rarity for Oasis. Falling Down is one of the best things Noel has ever done.

Really hard when saying which one is better. There's two things I know for sure, though: Both albums are better than HC, and neither DBTT or DOYS are shit.
I sided with DOYS here. It's more ambitious and bold. DBTT is a great album though but is stripped down and melodic. They're 2 completely different styles of albums, and I guess that's why I'm having trouble comparing them.
DBTT does flow better though.
DM --- WTSMG ---- BHN DOYS DBTT --- SOTSOG --- HC
DOYS-DBTT-BHN are all interchangeable, I have a hard time picking which one is better.
Either way, how anyone can say they're shit records is beyond me. Not perfect, but both are about 2 track changes shy from being classics.
Lyla, TIOBI, POTQ are all ace. LLAB is a nice filler. KTDA seems forgotten but it's similar to SBM
BIU, WFTR, TSOTL, TT, FD are all ace. IOT and TBWTL are solid, too.

Oh and to jump into the early debate about sales.
Let me point this out to you: Many many many people bought both XY and VLV from Coldplay, and majority of people were disappointed. It sold shed loads, but neither are considered classic albums.
Hell, look at Oasis' BHN - sold so many, public buzz like no other, record breaking album, etc, etc but no one (apart from us fans) rates it.
Point made. Sales are based on advertising and previous interest in the bands in question and NOT about the newest release.

One last point - OasisnetArmy: The Backstreet Boys, NSync, etc have sold over 100 million records, almost double than that of Oasis, does that make them a better band? Like fuck it does.
Furthermore, some of the lesser appreciated mainstream bands of past and present never had amazing figures. Stone Roses? The Smiths? They never cracked America, let alone the rest of the world, they can't be any good. FFS.

how about this, people... it only matters if YOU like it. fuck everybody else. it's amazingly pathetic how crazy you guys go about such a non-issue. who the fuck cares if they're not as popular as they were? did it ever matter that they were popular in the first place? no. you like their music, and that's what it's all about.

Both records are really good. I don't understand why some people hate DOYS, I think it shows Oasis at their best- proves that they're a real band to all those ignorants who claim that they sound always the same.

DOYS at its best is a class above DBTT imo. The first 7 songs are simply much better.
DBTT is consistently quite good though where as DOYS takes a massive dip after Falling Down.

I mean sure, both were hugely anticipated albums that were met with huge front-end sales and huge disappointment after the fact. Difference is, the world took a shit on Oasis after Be Here Now. Coldplay are still massive worldwide. For the record, I think both are great records.
