What does Hamas want? Peace and security for their people or dead Israeli's? Hmmm... tough question. Let's look at some recent history: Israel turns over a nice chunk of land over to Hamas. A lot of industry, infastructure, agriculture, beautiful Medditeranean resort area. Does Hamas use that a a building board for a productive society? Do they join the world of peaceful nations? Use the $MILLIONS the west gives them to maintain a peaceful settlement? NO. Of course not. They turn it into a shithole because all they want to do is use it as a launching pad to kill Israeli's. Gaza's a shithole because it's occupied by terrorists. The "refugee camps" are shitholes after 60 years because they're occupied by terrorists. The entire middle east is a shithole because it's occupied by terrorists and their "moderate" enablers. And this is where this question enters: Should we just sit and say "hamas are barbaric, no good would come from them", and let this situatuion drag, Or Start to think how can we get achievments with the hamas..? How can we end this..? |

If those people are gonna starve, there are 2 options to what would happen - they would all die. theyll go crazy and join the hamas, making it bigger, stronger and ready to invade israel. Dont really want those options. Maybe u think that when the israeli goverment close all the gates to gaza, it makes the people there angry about hamas, but as a person who lives in israel i can assure u, it only makes them mad about israel government. acting as if hamas dont exist and ignoring them, i think u of all people here could understand that it wont neceserally bring them down, maybe the opposite.  |

We subsidize Hamas and THEY are seen as the saviors of the people. We're not winning hearts and minds that way either. Maybe we should treat the Palestinians the way Christian charities used to treat the hungry during the depression: in order to eat, you need to hear a sermon. In order to receive Western aid, you need to hear the message of the west in an unfiltered environment. Let them know that Israel isn't their problem. It's their corrupt, criminal "leaders" who are causing their suffering, not Israel.

As long as Israel occupy Palestine there will be resistance and they have every right to resist them. Israel are in the wrong. No, I believe Israel is an independent nation. I don't know of a country called Palestine. Wasn't there a UN Charter about 60 years ago making it a country? How do you "occupy" your own nation. You've got a problem with that charter? Take it to the courts. In lieu of that, your freedom fighters will get killed when they target civilians. And I love that "prove it" argument of the left. Especially, when the proof wasn't good enough because it was translated from Arabic. The idiot won't believe it until he can read it in it's original form. So until he gets an advanced degree in Arabic, he'll keep his head in the sand. Classic argument. Israel has no right to exsit its plaestiain land. |

Perhaps the Jewish rallying cry in 1930 was "Palestine has no right to exist it's jewish land.
Besides, the "Palestinians" got their own piece of land a few years ago. So how IS that Gaza experiment turning out?

Don't think there's a big difference between Al-Qaida and Hamas... Only that the former is global, and the latter nationalist. Errm........ The difference between them is 2 buildings if u ask me................. |
