Top gig from yesterday. The Stadthalle was quite packed, papers say that there were 10 000 people (I guessed about 9000-9500), which means that more tickets were sold than for the 2000 Stadthalle gig and the 2006 Gasometer gig together! We came from Budapest, and met loads of Hungarians: there must have been at least 200-300 of us in the crowd. Lots of Slovakians, too, and there was a Bulgarian flag in the crowd as well. I don't know whether they really came from Bulgaria, but if this is the case, than maximum respect! Strong British contingent, too. Free Peace were forgettable (the music is good, but the singer got on my nerves after 3 songs...). I was at the top of the seating (no-one bothers you about standing up, which is good ), so I could observe a bit more than when being in the front-of-the-stage madness. Liam's voice was rather good, in some songs he didn't cut the words as short as usual. Forgot the middle line of Rock 'n' Roll Star, though. The band really looked like enjoying it, they were very communicative, which was a major (pleasant) surprise. I think I've not heard them speaking this much altogether in the 3 earlier gigs I've been to! A mate's Hungarian flag (with the DOYS Oasis logo) got a remark from Noel, as well as Sharrock ("Say hello to the new drummer") and Jay ("let me introduce my future ex-wife, The Shroud"). Slide Away was dedicated to the girls, Morning Glory to the boys pushed against them TIOBI to us, standing on the top of the seating, which was really nice. We probably could've been seen from the stage, as some crazy guys balanced on the 1cm diameter barrier, while singing Wonderwall! No surprises in the setlist. Sound was quite good, maybe apart from TSOTL - from where I was, at least. I noticed a slightly altered solo at the end of a song, but really can't remember, which - probably Slide Away. Highlights for me were DLBIA, The Masterplan, Supersonic and TBWTL - the latter is really on another level compared to the studio recording. Great one from the boys, Liam acknowledged the crowd as "amazing". Hope to see them somewhere near in the festival season, too!

it seems that the band is enjoying the 2009 concerts a lot more than the ones from 2008

Great one from the boys, Liam acknowledged the crowd as "amazing". Hope to see them somewhere near in the festival season, too! that must have been ironic...the crowd was really silent - that must have been a bit of a shock for them especially after the italian gigs recently...i was standing in the middle of the hall...at the front it must have been better though...

That's a good point, though the front was very into it. Liam had a surely ironic remark towards the seats opposite of the stage. But at the end it seemed to me that he was satisfied with the fellows at the front
