40,000 people for oasis? they dont even sell 20,000 records anymore(but that could depend on thatthat many people in south america cannot afford to buy regular cds....its more the illegal branding or sth. like that which sells good....at least im right with that ....correct me if im wrong)

you're wrong. yes, CDs and DVDs are often ridiculously overprized but people in south america can afford buying CDs if they don't sell enough is probably because how obsolete CDs are nowadays and everything gets out on the internet first. it's easier to download that buy, that doesn't mean there aren't enough fans to sell out big gigs

i'm sure oasis would sell out a big stadium in Argentina.. 60.000 people they performed to 45.000 last time in brazil they would sell out a 20.000 people arena.. maximum i think

They could easily sell 20000-30000 tickets. Radiohead has just sold out 30000 tickets in São Paulo and they're NOT more popular than Oasis. I believe they would have a pretty good shot at selling out a venue like Parque Antarctica (about 40000 places, Ozzy Osbourne played there last year...).
Lima has just been anounced on their MySpace (April 30th) so now it's only a matter of time for the rest of Latin America... Oh I'm so nervous...

OASIS LAND IN LIMA, PERU! As part of the band's world tour, Oasis announced today that they will be playing in Lima, Peru on April 30th at the Estadio Nacional. This will be part of the band's fourth Latin America tour but marks the first time they will have played in Peru. LOL

i'm stoked about the news... might be going to Peru this spring/summer now. they're playing at the "national stadium" , that's a 45K+ seat venue... everyone on the various blogs are saying that they'll sell it out "no problem", i guess we'll see. For the Kiss concert they're having @ the exact same venue only 15 days before, the tickets were as high as $250 ! lol those people are really getting ripped off man.

The last Oasis show in Brazil, São Paulo 2006, was in a shit place with only 15000, hope the they will play in a better place with 30000 this year. This month Brazil will have Kraftwerk open for Radiohead, amazing.

that's true their gig there in 2006 was insane and the argentinian press did a lot of specials with the band.. tv, magazines, radio broadcast, autograph session, etc, etc, etc True, but only here in Brazil we managed to change their setlist DURING the concert!! ;D Supersonic!!!! to be honest I thought you in South America love Rage against the machine more than any other band.... why did you think that??
