I keep reading these articles claiming the song 'is breaking through'... is it fuck! Never heard anything about it! You Americans know more about it than I do, so what's the situation? Also, is it the general consensus that DOYS is the most successful Oasis album in the States since Be Here Now?

Nope, it's the same as it's been. It probably is their most popular since BHN, but that isn't saying much.

Do they play IOT on the radio? I've never heard it...
Most people over here think Oasis are that one-hit-Wonderwall-wonder that broke up years ago.

Actually heard the "I'm Outta Time" remix on XM channel Alt Nation. Other than that, the impact is zero.

Oasis charted at Number 7 in the US for single sales of IOT. where did you get that? Oasis doesn't release any physical singles for sale in the USA (haven't since WTSMG) so is that all on the strength of imports? Considering they would be about $8 I doubt that. Is it from downloads or something?

I heard the remix on the alt radio station here at like 4 in the morning one time. Apparently it gets played regularly at that time on that station according to their play list.

It was getting regular spins on Sirius/XM Alt Nation for a few months, starting in December. It's tailed off recently.
With all the people complaining about lack of airplay, just bombard your radio stations with emails. I did that for Sirius and was able to get numerous daily spins for TSOLT and IOT. I'm sure I wasn't the only one. But I did send emails almost daily.

No one in my area would know about Oasis if I didn't talk about them, they haven't been known since wonderwall.

Does anyone know how much promotion Oasis gets in the US? Is it their choice whether or not their singles get pushed for radio play, or is it up to their studio?
The only song of theirs I've heard on the radio was The Shock of the Lightning - and that was maybe only twice about 6 months ago.
I'm surprised "I'm outta time" didn't get played at all cause it's a very pretty song. Who decides what gets played - and how do they decide?

I heard the IOT demo on a local station in NYC. Forgot what station it was, but not a very well known one as I would have noted that.

Played every once in a while in Ohio. I'd say once a day average. Not as good as Shock of the Lightning or any Morning Glory singles.

As for the "chart" IOT was on... do you know how many charts Billboard has?? If you pick up the mag, its got nearly 40 of them! IOT could have appeared #7 on the "British man with nasally voice" Chart..who knows! Find out what chart the song appeared then maybe I will be impressed. ;D

I was a bit off on that number. Its actually #9 and it was on the Billboard Hot Singles Chart. That chart basically means nothing, considering that it really doesn't help you get on the Hot 100.
