oasis were the best band in the world ,at 1 point thery were a band that made me fly to the uk every tour ,but now just like the stones or van halen they have stayed on too long ,yes they debut on the charts great but there is no staying power, and from a critical standpoint this album doesent even raise my blood pressure, they are a legendary band that is simply done they are now what we all back in the 90s rebelled against a tired rock group that can sell out WEMBLEY (like the stones ) but are no longer relevant ,,,critisize me if u like but its the truth ,,,and i aint flyin over to here this cd it just aint worth it

If you think they're shit, just listen to the old albums and don't buy the new ones. Everyone's a winner.

He's clearly an idiot. Just look at the way he posts. I mean, come on, who uses commas in an ellipsis?

News flash- bands get less relevant as they get older, because there not new any more. I hope you understand that.

Yeah, I think the obit may be a tad bit premature. I think it nessecary to dampen your expectations. Just because it isn't another DM doesn't mean it doesn't have some great stuff on it. Judge it on its own merits and DOYS ain't so bad. (plus now in the itune generation...it is so easy to play with the cd...take out a nothing on me and replace it with a record machine...boy with the blues and nature of reality...to give it a little umph.) I will agree with Kalas in that DOYS was the first Oasis album that didn't feel like 'an event' when it came out. So in that sense I suppose much of the magic has died. But that could just be me and advancing years (its funny how a baby, marriage and a mortgage can dull some of the shine off a new record release.)

I will agree with Kalas in that DOYS was the first Oasis album that didn't feel like 'an event' when it came out. ok let's be real for a minute... the last real release day 'event' for oasis was be here now. in the grand scheme of things to MUSIC fans oasis haven't been relevant since giants. the only people who get all keyed up anymore for oasis album releases are us diehards... not just in the states but also in other parts of the world as well i still love this band, but c'mon now,, to even compare oasis to the stones... sure the stones are not relevant anymore but they still remain a household name everywhere in the world... prolly 4 out of 5 people in the u.s. don't even know who oasis are ... that's the sad truth
