I just heard today that Oasis is considering coming back to the U.S. in the fall, beginning in October.
The catch is that I've heard the band is looking for a touring partner. Not just a small opening act. I think the tour would be contingent on that, but I haven't 100% confirmed that part of it. Hope to have more info on that at some point.
I have no more details than that. Nothing on the type of venues or cities.
Any (realistic) thoughts on who Oasis could tour with? Kings would be epic, but I doubt that would happen. Foos would be perfect imo. Perhaps The Killers (but I hate their god-awful new stuff).
A lot of it will depend on logistics of course, bands that could already be out on the road.

Killers (awesome) and Kings of Leon (meh) also immediately jumped into my head.
Death Cab for Cutie? Silversun Pickups? Arcade Fire? Foo Fighters?

apparently the Figheter of Foo are on a "hiatus" so they will not be touring any time soon. The Killers would be awesome indeed, their new stuff IS just meh... but they have great songs too. KOL is a band that i just recently discovered(right before they hit it big here in the US) like a month before lol and i like them, their older stuff is better than their new but still, great music either way.

Right now, Stateside, Killers are a bigger band than Oasis. They won't open for them, especially with a new album. They'd only tour with Oasis for a coheadling gig, where they can play a full 1:30 minute set. I'd have no problem for paying for a co-headling tour. I'd imagine IF a US Tour happened, they'd bring along Kasabian or Jet.

The Killers are shit. I liked there early stuff though. I hope Oasis dont get sucked into there kind of sell out promotion & tour. I doubt this will happen.
The only reason the Killers are as big is because of there marketing, that new song Human is on radio all the time! Who said I the radio listener wanted to be brainwashed with the new Killers shit?!
"are we human, or are we wankers"
