They shouldn't be playing in China if this is the case. There's no way Liam won't shout some sort of vulgarity out.

Liam ain't the loose cannon he was 10 years ago. Maybe he still can manage to sneak in a "I've waited for a thousand years for you to come and fuck me out my mind" in Lyla though ;D

So by your logic Hitler wasn't fucked up because his citizens were not universally poor? It's strange you act like you know everything and you are the justice. In fact, I met Noel Liam and Gem once when they came to Hong Kong (I posted about it in this forum back in 2006). After we introduced where we came from, Noel were very friendly and showed interest in us. No prejudice. There are billion people living in a tranquil life, we don't have to defend ourselves against all the unfair criticism all the time cos we prefer peace to sharp words. But still you can have your own little fun to fantasy those billion people are as bad as Hitler or give a contemptuous laugh to make you happy. And we will go to see the concerts and enjoy it.

uhhhmmmm, he did not say anything about all billions of chinese who would be "bad", he said sth about the autocratic government which is not giving the freedmom to the people which they want(censoship...for example).....of course a lot changes during the last 15 years over there, most in the cities and coastareas. but nobody cant denie that there is a lot of absolute injusice in genereal and poorness particularly in the countryside who dont get anything of the cake the people in the big cities get
but hey, its offtopic

My English is not good, so I don't know if he means we are billion Hitler's supporters or billion idiots which can be fooled. It's not much different, he and some repliers just like to taunt the Chinese.
As I said in the first place, we are conservative - especially drug and sex, patents are strict, not to mention the government. I doubt people would have any interest in our country.
People here are very glad Oasis make it in China, maybe they will drop some songs maybe not, whatever happen, the most important thing is they finally come.

I hope Noel stands firm and plays whatever he wants to play or doesn't play at all. He's rich enough, so he doesn't need that money.
I mean, if you don't like C&A then you don't fucking like Oasis.

Really awesome to hear from someone who's actually there. I really hope you get to see Oasis and whatever songs they do. C&A is one of my favorite songs but if its taken out and replaced it will be fun to see what you get instead.

I've heard rumours that they're replacing Cigarettes and Alcohol with Bonehead's Bank Holiday.

I mean, if you don't like C&A then you don't fucking like Oasis. There's a difference between not liking the tune and wishing they'd not play it nearly as much. It's like flogging a dead horse considering I don't think they ever took the song off the set list since 1994.

SHANGHAI (AFP) — British rock band Oasis's live concert debut in mainland China has been cancelled, organisers said Monday. Concert promoter Luo Xiaochuan declined to give a reason for the British group's Beijing and Shanghai appearances, scheduled for April 3 and 5, not going ahead. The band is on tour promoting their latest album, "Dig Out Your Soul". Their website and tour blog made no mention of the cancellations. It was not immediately clear whether the band's Hong Kong concert on April 7 would be affected. The Chinese dates had attracted the attention of some music fans curious to see how lead singer Liam Gallagher, known for his abrasive attitude and unpredictable behavior, would fare in a country where live performances are tightly regulated.(someone's been reading L4e again .... ) Authorities have tightened restrictions following a Shanghai concert last year by Icelandic singer Bjork, who concluded her show by shouting: "Tibet!" The subject of Tibet remains extremely sensitive in China amid allegations by the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, and other Tibetan exiles and activists, of Chinese repression in the Buddhist Himalayan region.

pretty ironical when you know how little politically engaged oasis are ;D sucks for chinese fans though hey youth of china, if you're reading that, try to make your country and better place, this is beyond ridiculous... Oh and Chinese people also saw noel being in a free tibet event so any change in the setlist is useless

give it up. there will be nochange by the folks.......chinese people stayed under strict authorities since 1000s of years.......the only change they did is that they turned from strict communism to that gaga-mix between an totalautocratic system (which has nothing to do anymore with communism) and supercapitalism . they had the chance in 1989, but this was a minority. most people over there are too blind to question the government in an relevant way. they are too happy with the economic progress of which they can take profit.. the chinese must drown in theitr own garbage and choke on their polluted air before they will change anything.....but then it will be too late for themselves;) sorry, that must be said. i know a few chinese (once asylum seekers) and immigrants who share that opinion about their people in their homecountry. this country is on a very special egotrip (ok, the alway were. but now it could affect the whole world-pollutionwise)
