I'm also an American and I think it's the worst Oasis video ever made.

I'm not an American . . . Thank God lol. I'm in America, the continent, not the country which by the way is called United States, not "America". I'm southern, near the ice. thanks God too! hahaha It's a political video if you look it like this. If you understand the story it will be different.

i'm in the united states and i think the vid is pretty good. these aren't really played on mtv anymore, so it's sorta a chance to stretch out creatively without having to suck up to an audience. the song is still a lot deeper than the video, imo, but the video provides an interesting interpretation.

i don't think matters where the hell you're from. it shouldn't take more than half the video do understand what the director was going for.

Jesus... the song is only 4 minutes long... it's not exactly a long time to cram story into. This is oasis, you're not going to see dancing girls and bling, and they've said countless times they hate standing around miming for hours on end. So you're going to get this arty fair, I welcome it, it isn't the video I would have made for the song, and I imagine it's not the one you would either, but it's about being creative and doing something different isn't it. Have an open mind, that's what oasis is generally all about.

Well at least its provoked debate, which is more than can be said for the IOT vid.
The most exciting that video got was when the owl was shown.

Didn't like the video at first, but after a few times watching it i think it's ok. The only thing i would change is having the band in there a bit more but we all know they hate doing videos... their own fault if people don't like it.

The best description of this video I found as a comment on the youtube video. maybe they got it form somewhere else i don't really know.
"The video has been somewhat controversial, with the members of Oasis refusing to shake hands with an apparent Royal Lady. The video depicts a woman who is supposed to be part of the Royal Family who enjoys parties, one night stands and drugs. When she meets the band at the end of the video, the members of the band refuse to shake her hand because of the way she hides her party lifestyle. When the 'Princess' offers her hand to Noel Gallagher he is seen to say "Nah" and turns away in disdain."

Am I the only one that likes the video.
It has the political statement of the decade, even though it's only a reaffirmation but still what other bands of note have you seen mock the monarchy, even the Sex Pistols were ''god save the queen"
mind you, they were an english band...
