Aw hell naw. Blink-182. AW HELL NAW. Ditched Oasis for THEM? And I was actually looking forward to something this year... If Oasis are still touring NA, I couldn't care less about who Weezer tours with. I thought they were canceling the tour because of it.

If this means smaller venues and better support acts, I'm 100% for this.

No, no. Have all you people suffered amnesia. Oasis sold out 15,000 seat arenas pretty consistently in 2005 with Jet as a support act. Jet is not that big in the U.S. and certainly not as big as Weezer. Oasis are still touring in the spring so keep saving your money.
I'd still go see the Weezer/blink-182 show but not for Weezer...

I didn't get to catch the Kasabian guys for the show at Merriweather in '05 so I wouldn't mind them being on this tour...If they're gonna do a co-headlining tour I'd like to see 'em w/ Foo Fighters. yea they got kicked off the set that night, apparently oasis' equipment arrived late ( it was lost in the south somewhere!), I had a lovely chat with the I think the lead singer in the elevator of a hotel that gig! shocking to say the least

Oasis and Blink 182 would be wild. Noel, Russell Brand, Mark Hoppus and Tom Delonge should open all the shows with an improv comedy bit. Four of the funniest guys in entertainment. Although, their senses of humor are quite different...

MTV was having this live wedding in Times Square on Valentine's Day a couple years ago. This couple was getting married and wanted Blink 182 to perform at their wedding. The band couldn't make it because they were recording but MTV sent cameras to their recording studio to send a message to the couple. Mark (red hair) decides to "perform" unbeknownst to the other band members. I think they also thought this was a little absurd of MTV to be doing this so they "took the piss" as the Brits say. Whether or not you like the band, this is pretty funny.
I'd rather have Glasvegas open for Oasis than Kasabian...

Oh, it's never gonna happen. NEVER. NEVER. NEVER. Noel once said blink 182 were "rockabilly on crack" which I'm not sure is a diss or not. But I like blink 182 so fuckin' shoot me. I also like The Clash, The Replacements, The Pixies, The Smiths, The Stone Roses and The Pogues.

I'm glad they're not touring with Weezer.
At this point, I'm thinking Oasis may come back in the Fall instead.

blink182.com/images/band_message.jpgpretty much Blink 182 is touring SUMMER 09, not in spring 09, so Weezer CANT drop off the Spring Oasis tour like the original post stated, cause Blink ISNT touring in SPRING of 09. Oasis/Weezer still on as planned for Spring 09

Well, I'm kinda glad. I love Weezer, but there's no way Oasis should be OPENING for them.

Its gonna be Oasis and Kings Of Leon. End of~! With The Courteeners as the main openers. I mean WTF was who ever masterminded that whole Weezer cac thinking anyway? They're pretty big here in L.A. so I can only imagine the nightmare it would of been to get good seats. KOL are rockin' pretty big out here in the West Coast, be a really good turn out of fans, easily fill Staples again or Universal Amph. ( I refuse to call it the "Gibson" amp) I think that be a good mesh of fans, doncha thinks? You know a long long time ago, I signed up for thems Columbia House "order 10cds for 1cent" deals, and they sent me the Blink 182 cd that has "Dammit", my cousin borrowed it and never gave it back....and I didnt care to file criminal charges for its theft.lol good riddance. Someone else mentioned that it be cool if Oasis played some smaller venues, yes that be great, but, its still going to co$t them hella ca$h to lugg the equipment around, and being that thats where the band, well Liam and Noel, get their ca$h to buy ton$ of Adida$, come$ from the gig$ they need to play to LARGE-FULL venue$ to make it worth it for them. So if they play venues that hold 10K or more in say 25 gigs, tix are say $50 (and thats being a bit cheap) etc etc, at the end of the day IMO L&N make about 3-5mil each for playing 25 gigs...And for that money, I think we deserve to finally hear The Turning and Bag It FUCKIN' UP!

Oasis should spend more time in the studio imo. Forget the states, I'd rather have a new album.
