he should also warm up properly. soundchecks are perfect for that, which he's never attended.

i think he was in a bad day he has proved he still can sing the songs properly, not like in the old days, but decent enough like in the Standing On The Edge of the Noise special, bbc electric proms, falconer theatre in copenhagen and others..

Check this out, it's pro shot footage from Stockholm 28/1/09. www.svd.se/kulturnoje/nyheter/artikel_2389403.svdSounds terrible. Is it just me or does Liam always seem pissed off nowadays when he's singing a song? He seems constantly agitated, cutting words short all the time with loads of aggression and pulling away from the mic etc. Maybe he's pissed off coz he can't sing half as good as he used to be able to... Any thoughts people? I was at the Stockholm concert and I think he sounded mostly really good. I've also been watching the clips on YouTube and somehow they're nearly totally different from what I heard live at the gig. Maybe it's something to do with the way they've been recorded, or maybe it's because the voices of the crowd drowned out Liam's, or maybe something else. But he did sound good at the actual show.

Seriously.....2-3 more albums which will cover 6-8 more years or more.......this can't continue.
Justin Timberlake (yes I know I know) but he had surgery and Liam and Oasis have the $$ to help him.
He's back in shape (for a 36 year old) he just needs some professional guidance. Almost every rocker drinks and smokes. It can be corrected.

Thats just face it, he cant sing for shit anymore! Only seems to sound half decent right at the beginning of the tour, like the standing on the edge of noise n that, after a few months he sounds fuckin awful! Really dreading the wembley stadium gig next year if they show it on tele, gonna be a right fuckin mess, unless they do what they did with the city of manchester one a few years back and just turn his mic off completely and turn up the crowds singing when he does! Sorry to say it but they really need to cut down on the length of the tours and spend more time in the studio where it all seems to work best

If you can't go to an Oasis gig without complaining about Liam's vocals, then you're missing the point and you probably shouldn't be going at all.

in all seriousness Liam's voice (from my experience) has sounded rather good live when your there whether is thousands singing along or the wall of sound.

If you can't go to a message board without complaining about other people complaining then you're probably missing the point... And if people pay good money to see the band then they expect to see a good performance. They have every right to complain about Liam's frequently bad vocals. They're probably just speaking the truth.

Or, you know, they could get over it and try enjoying themselves. God knows I've heard some shocking performances myself, and it's never held me back.

Maybe they should do less gigs. Their latest gig here in Copenhagen was fantastic. The gig followed a few days rest, and Liam was really good. Less gigs = better performances from Liam. I´d guess....

true... liam almost always sounds amazing in person. people also have to remember that back in the be here now days and before, we didn't have youtube and immediate bootleg video to pick apart after every show. also, audience recordings are almost always kinder to vocals than soundboards and radio stuff, which often make vocalists sound flat. that "room" sound you get from audience recordings and being there is the best part of live shows for me. live records and pro-mixed stuff sounds sterile to me.
people are also correct in saying that his voice has simply changed... no one sounds the same as they did 10+ years ago, whatever the reason. liam is a really extreme vocalist, and always has been... i'm sure he didn't take any care with his voice back in the nineties, hence all the noel-sung shows back then.
i recorded the chicago show back in december, and liam definitely sounded better in person, but he still sounds good when i listen back to it now. oasis shows are about being there in the moment... he isn't going to sound like he did when he was 23 years old ever again... deal with it. he still sounds like liam, and on good nights, he sounds fucking awesome.

absolutely great performance by Liam he hold all the notes! he even sang "chasing the suuuun" instead of "chasing the SUN!" he has been (or being? i never know) doing a great job in this tour, i think.. no singing could be worse than it was in the DBTT world tour

dreadful. First time I heard him massacre Lyla I maintained that he should NEVER again sing it live. And that was 4 years ago when it was a SINGLE. I mean what's the point? If all you're doing is destroying it, who/what the fuck are you singing it for?
People who blindly defend this shit amuse me.
"yeah, so what if it sounds like shit, it's not like it's a concert."
"who in their right mind goes to a concert to hear anything, especially someone singing?"

that version of slide away was the best performance i've heard this entire tour. he needs that doctor to be in his entourage or something during the rest of the tour.

I'm praying it is dropped for the summer gigs.
