To me Falling Down is a song for the times. Like The Specials Ghost Town summed up the recession in the 80's.
My take on a FD video..
Starts with a shot of a belegured city trader standing in deshevelded suit on the top of a sky scraper.
As the song starts he is standing there thinking-flash back to him receiving his first ferrari then his big country manor then things start to Fall Down.
You see the share market collapse, he loses his home , his cars, his girl freinds desert him ( A dying dream ..).
Back to the man on the sky scraper. He launches himself into the air and it then is a bit like The Muse Bliss video. As he falls he flashes back to the good times then to the present, then back to the good times.
All the time oasis are in the room playing while this guy is on the ledge..
You don't see him hit the ground though...
They won't do this but it would be so controversial that it would probably be banned but generate a heap of publicity.

It would also be very depressing.
Nice idea though.

Hey I'm feeling totally fine, thanks for the concern . To be honest I'm not affected by this crisis at all (So far Aus seems to be getting off lightly and I don't own a single share) No I just think oasis need a smack up to date CURRENT video to reflect the times. There are these trader guys jumping off buildings and to me Falling Down is all about these times. I would love to see oasis make a contraversial video which would get them noticed. Some of the best music comes from recessions-it gives music a point and a focus. I saw an item about this on BBC World. They said they expected music to start reflecting these times. The Enemy have made a great start. I don't really find it depressing (sorry don't mean to be) as things were getting stupid. The whole world NEEDS it. I forgot to add all the time oasis are playing and sort of sneering in a I told you so way! Everyone wanted to be like Posh and Becks and were maxing out credit cardSSS. Sorry that's another debate but I love falling down and it needs a great video-IMO its the best oasis song for years and is something which can't be described as dad rock. I love it. My inspiration ladies and gents was the Brilliant Muse video for Bliss (sorry I confess but I love muse, not as much as oasis but they are a mighty mighty group.) I saw them before they were big in a pub near Torquey when I was working there. Brilliant but that Matt guy is just compleatly bonkers. au.youtube.com/watch?v=XrROiUNwgCM

It'll probably be something shit like a live performance.

It'll probably be something shit like a live performance. Well Noel stated that it is "Absolutely Mental!", so I'm not worried the guy has taste.
