Good. Stuff. That asshole cost me and quite a few people a ton of money and what would have been some great memories.

No chance of 14 years. I wouldn't expect that, but definitely a good wrench into his life would be nice. Lots of public service, a little jail time (if for nothing else skipping his court date 2-3 times) and some financial loss. That would please me.

It certainly won't be 14 years. Teenage gun/knife killers in UK cities roughly get 14 years. (should be more I reckon he will get 6 months for GBH and a big fine for the cancellations.

He is being charged with aggravated assault (more serious than assault) and faces UP TO 14 years but it's highly unlikely he'll get any more than a couple of months (if that)

its canada. our judicial system is not punitive the way it is in the us. he wont get the full 14 years. if he has no previous record, he may get a bit but not showing up for his first court date probably didnt help him either. noel will not get a "payout"unless he sues the guy in civil court which is highly unlikeyl... why bother?

I'm studying Law. As I learned so far he'll probably get some months in and has to pay an indeminization to Noel for all damages (both physical and psychologic). He'll have to pay Noel the medical bills, treatments, etc. I'm not sure about the gigs money that has been lost because of this though.
