I would just like to thank all the dutch fans i met on both nights at HMH (including a very nice L4E member who looked after me with train & tram tickets).
I don't agree that the dutch fans are lame. I would say the dutch on both nights were well behaved, polite, passionate and non-agressive.
I have been going to concerts for almost 20 years in Manchester, and i would take the Dutch crowd anytime. I really enjoyed myself both nights with nice people.
As for Oasis, they rocked. 1st night at was at the barrier in front of Noel. The 2nd night i was again at the barrier, this time in front of Liam. Chris Sharrock is the obvious difference to the live sound. Without doubt the best drummer Oasis have ever had. Noels voice has improved and he is a much more talted singer. Liams voice was shot at for the last songs on the 1st night, but thats to be expected. In general both nights were brilliant. I think the 1st night was possibly the best.
Liam throwing his tambourine into the crowd on the 1st night after Rock N Roll Star was a good way to start the show.
The 2nd night, i thought Liam was in a foul bad mood. I suppose having a drink thrown at him the moment i walked on stage didn't help. He looked furious and came over to where i was stood and tried to point someone out. Bad vibe!!
Here are a few comments Noel and Liam made that i can remember.....
Noel 1st night
" This is our new drummer. He is the only Scouser in Amsterdam who is not on the run"

hey, would be cool to have some pics...especially the first night..I didn't take my camera with me into the hall because I thought it gets broken or I lose it in the crowd, I was front of stage all the time and it was hard sometimes...

You might not think you are stood next to one but you are " And I would love to thank to my English friend who came to Amsterdam to see Oasis for both nights with me and my friend. We really had a great time, both nights in the first queue at the barrier. 1st night just front of Noel and 2nd night just front of Liam. The crowd got really mental when they started to play Cigaretts & Alcohol and I was nearly crashed into the barrier (Once again, thanks to my friend who kept telling me "Keep holding the barrier!"). I've seen the lads 4 times, but those 2 nights were my best Oasis gigs. Liam's voice wasn't too good, especially at the 1st night, but being there and seeing the lads for 2 nights were just wonderful. We sung with all of us and Liam said to the audience at the 2nd night "You're fantastic". I wish all the Oasis fans who's going to see them a great time and stay safe during the gig!! PS: Thanks to my friends for cheering me when I lost my coat after the gig. I won't forget that warmness of you to keep me warm when we were standing at the station in that cold, rainy night. He did have some "hard moments" during the gig, especially the first night, especially during "Lyla" and was in a bad mood sometimes at 2nd night, but we all enjoyed brilliant gigs. |

I was there the first night It was great I've got a photo: GD terrific snap. Any others? Seems like a kick ass show. Saw them in Vegas about a month or so ago, front row aswell...Ive yet to DL my snaps off my iphone.....great reviews all. Mimmi sorry you lost your coat, was it super cold out? Sword sounds like you had a proper blast, cheers.  |
