Oasis to play their first-ever gigs in South Africa Always keen to explore new countries and venues Oasis will be playing their first-ever gigs in South Africa this April. Their inaugural dates will be: 10th April, 2009 - Newmarket Racecourse, Johannesburg 13th April, 2009 - Cape Town Ostrich Farm, Cape Town Both dates are part of the Coca Cola Zero Fest, which they are headlining. The tickets go on sale from 9am (local time) on Friday 23rd January from Computicket and 083 915 8000. The gigs are part of their largest-ever World Tour which so far has seen them play Canada, United States, UK, Mexico and Western Europe. Im hoping that after South Africa, they will go to South America. Could be logical. Start in Argentina, then Chile, then Brazil, Colombia. Maybe play Mexico again and then go to the States in May as planned.
Anyways, good news for those in South Africa, cant imagine many bands playing there in the past.
