Call me a fan, unlike 99% here I'm actually not listening to whatever Liam or Noel listens to and calling what they don't shit.

haha good for you! There's a huge world of music out there other than what Noel/Liam play or listen to. This band has taken me over! I've seen about 25 shows since April 2008 and plan to see many more. They incorporate rock, metal, jazz, funk, hip hop, reggae.... pretty much every genre into their music.... and always play something new. They're mind blowing.
I feel like they're virtually unheard of in the UK though.... I'm not sure if jam bands are really big over there? Either way, UM is not your typical run of the mill jam band. It's more progressive rock.

[/quote] I saw a few UM shirts at Porcupine Tree in 2010, plus met an UM fan who did a local prog rock show in Canberra until he was (unfairly) told to stop by the head of the radio station. It's hard enough to find decency in prog rock these days, since people automatically nay say it when there's decent bands. Another two favourites of mine are IQ and Arena.

I should check those out. Never heard them... Porcupine Tree is awesome, never seen 'em live though.
I really dig the Ozric Tentacles too...

I should check those out. Never heard them... IQ will remind you of Steve Hackett and Peter Gabriel era Genesis, has a very good singer too. (Born the year Collins ruined the band by opening his mouth to sing that god awful Invisible Touch btw) They, er, put an interesting take on the Sex pistols: Arena I got into because of Clive Nolan:
