total size of my partion_1 (c:) is 72.0gb my free space is 32.2gb
today i defragmented my comp
i dont have a lot of memory left anyway i have over 10 folders in my partion-1 c
thing is i think there's stuff i can delete to free up some memory but i dont know what to delete,i have to be careful though
here's folders i have: Windows98Drv - inside this folder is 4 text notes - set up info,PDR file, - not sure i need this folder??
WINDOWS - this folder has loads in it Temp - this folder has just 1 document in which says debug - it's a text document - could i delete this?? this is the first part of the document when i double click on it

total size of my partion_1 (c:) is 72.0gb my free space is 32.2gb i dont have a lot of memory left anyway not a lot of memory left?? over 32 gb -that is almost 50% of your total hard disk memory- is not enough free space for ya? are you planning to upload a complete human mind onto your hard drive in the near future? well you can delete some of those textfiles but how much disk space is that gonna save ya? an average txt-file has about let's say 2 kb. that is ~0,000001 gb. i'd rather suggest you delete some porn instead. a layman's rule of thumb says: never fuck around with folders on a windows system that have the following word in their name: windows. finally, instead of typing the content of a textfile manually how about copy&paste-ing ?

yes, first of all, you shouldn't delete anything from the windows folder without knowing. there are some temporary files you can delete, but they won't make much difference. if you really want to get rid of them, get the CCleaner program and it will help you delete temporary files and such but be very careful with which you select cos it also check the registry (try to stay away from that one to avoid problems)
another solution to release disk space is to burn videos and music in dvds. or uninstall programs you don't use (again, be careful not to delete something it might be essential to the system)
but, choco is right, 32GB is plenty of disk space!

Please don't listen to these two - they obviously don't know what they are talking about (espceially the Argie ). Go ahead and delete the whole Windows folder, that will free up a few gb's. While you are at it just delete everything in the program files folder on your c: drive too. ;D
