Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on whether the band will come to Aus sometime after they complete Asia.
I'll be very disapointed if they don't, and oasisinet has not shown a hint as to whether they will or not.
I'm getting a bit worried!
You guys heard anything?

why they should come to australia, if - in the brightest hypothesis - they will play in front of max 1.500 fans

Well, why did they come to Australia in 2002 and 2005? They sold out at least 2 shows in each Australian city, each venue filling well more than 1500.
How would you know anyway? I'm guessing you're not from Australia...

I’m getting quite concerned now. It’s looking like if they do come, it would be following the Japan / S. Korea dates (this makes the most sense geographically, especially if they are then going back to tour North America).
If that is the case that means they would be playing here in early April…. If memory serves me correctly, in the past, they announced tours here more than 3 months in advance… I really hope they announce something shortly but I am getting worried that we may miss out….
As to the comment above made by eliosiggia, Oasis have included Australia on numerous world tours. Even the Noel & Gem acoustic tour came to Australia.

Yeah, because it's getting late is why I'm starting to worry as well, but Noel and Gem's show was announced a few weeks in advance from memory, so let's hope!

they sold out DBTT tour and STC tour. Not huge venues but still sold out. I would say they will be here after Korea/Japan, because the Korean show only just got announced

They sell out my town Sydney religiously.
Infact ebay tickets went for 400 a piece.

If I'm not mistaken, last time Oasis were here in 2005 they sold out 2 Horden Pavillions in Sydney and 2 Festival Halls in Melbourne, both about 5000 capacity each night. There ya fuckin' go!

was talking to a bloke who claims he knows someone from frontier touring, and he reckons there's a bit of a bidding war between a couple of promoters, so no dates until they get that sorted. This could be bullshit though, just some guy i met in a pub, who brought this up when we got talking about oasis.

i wonder if there going to be looking to be playing bigger venues than last time
i think they could sell out a couple of big shows at melbourne..sydney maybe brisbane
smaller venue at perth

and when they do thats me im coming to aussie for sure...
it COULD EVEN BE after the stadium tour dates in the U.K...if it was to be late 2009 thats cool with me as long as they bloody come

Im still waiting for them to announce australia because after that they should announce South America. But the way things are going im getting a bit worried. Normally i wouldnt worry but with this US tour in May its getting complicated!

This is really looking dicey now.... I honestly thought they would play Australia straight after the Asia leg. But now they have announced that they will go straight from Hong Kong, round to South Africa..... not looking promising...  Following South Africa, I am assuming they will then head back to North America?? I guess the one last remaining hope is that they tour Australia before Japan... currently, they are free between 4th March to 17th March.... |

why rule out the fact that this is an 18 month tour AND that after the UK STADIUM SHOWS...
oasis will come to australia and new zealand at the end of 2009
i think thats more likely..then finish off their tour in south america
