I write songs myself and any line with driving a car is a good line. I still don't have a driver's liscense. As the great B.B. King once said " you don't have to live by cotton to write about it, but it sure helps." It's just a line.

Jesus, not every song is DIRECTLY about them. He's using it as a metaphor, you numpty. It's a common image of ~18year olds being fed up with their current situation and using their car as a way of achieving freedom......

Hmmmmm very interesting subject.... one could suggest the theory that "DRIVE" is maybe a metaphore to drugs...? or maybe this sould be a gesture to the great poet stephan patrick morrissey in his poem "Theres a light that never goes out"..? or MAYBE, it just f***ing rhymes man...jesus........

No. Rock N Roll Star is about getting out of a place you don't like. It's about the frustration of youth and not having any money. Again, when you're around 18, a car is seen as freedom and a way to escape. Dude, with all due respect this is Oasis, not John Locke, it's not that hard to understand.

Some people have far too much time on their hands.
I'm expecting "Before becoming a rockstar, did Noel secretly want to become an Italian chef? Afterall, he dreams about making lasagne for tea in Digsy's Dinner" next

If you're going to analyse lyrics do it with Bob Dylan, not Noel Gallagher.
Noel's even said himself, he heard the crowd singing back the chorus of Don't Look Back In Anger and thought 'What the fuck is that all about?'

I think you're the last person who should pointing the finger at others for coming up with bullshit by analysing Noel's lyrics.

You perhaps would have made a valid point if that was directed at UGHF, or you applied that to politics, instead. But I understand most of Oasis' lyrics, and you know I'm right in the case with RNRS so just give me credit where credit is due for once
