While I'm at it, this tune isn't as bad as we all make it out to be, either. However the demo is HORRENDOUS.
This track is a solid 7.5/10 for me. Nothing special, but not horrible either. And the crazy part near the end is ace.
Really, the only song I dont like is NOR. Again, mega mega album.

Just like I always skip Meaning of Soul, I always skip AGN. It has to be my least fave song on the album by a mile.

I can't get through GOYHHL... I don't have a problem with Ain't Got Nothin' or Nature of Reality, though.

Skip it every time.
As for GOYHHL, I really don't mind it. Probably has to do with the drums and hand clap reminding me of Johnny Cash's "God's Gonna Cut You Down", which is a favorite of mine. Nowhere near it's quality of course, but I don't think it's as bad as others do.

And just like I Can See A Liar and PYMWYMI; the album version is far too polished in a sickening Jon Bon Jovi way to ever rival the in-your-face freshness of the demo. Aint Got Nothing is by no means the worst song ever, but 7,5/10 is way overrated!

Really, the only song I dont like is NOR. Again, mega mega album. I think TNOR needs to be listened to on a proper stereo with the volume turned right up to be appreciated. When I first heard the album when it leaked I listened to it on my computer first off then on an iPod and I didn't think much of it at first but when I listened to the album the next day on a stereo I had the volume turned up and went through the album from start to finish and that was one of the songs that stood out for me initially, I loved the thumping drums and the little riff even though it was a bit too Helter Skelterish. Don't get me wrong it's by no means the best song on the album nor one of favourites from it but I think it deserves to be listened to properly and not through a pair of shitty cheap earphones before people pass judgement on it. How many people have honestly listened to it other than their iPods/computer's? I bet not many and I'd even go as far as to say that it'd sound pretty good live, I'd take it over MOS & AGN anyday.

MickyBlueEyes, you're telling the truth, TNOR is far better in a stereo, it has really grown on me, the same as AGN, I used to skip it, but now I almost like it. The only one I skip is High Horse Lady.

Aint got nuthin & the meaning of soul both sound like they were written by banging on a table. anyone can write those songs. i seriously think that noel allows puting out those songs to make liam look bad or something. imagine what would people think about liams songwriting abilities if they knew only i'm outta time, the boy with the blues, born on a different cloud...know what i mean?

i was kinda iffy on Ain't Got Nothin till i heard it live. Noel's backing vocals are sick, and Gem's solo is brilliant. So I gave the album track another chance and i've been hooked ever since.

I agree with you on the first part because they are what they are - simple songs. on the second bit though I don't think Noel would undermine the entire band just to make Liam look bad. He has just as much to gain from Liam looking good as Liam does.

TNOR really does sound better on nice speakers but thats with every other song. But the drums are just so deep its awesome and that feedback just sounds sick.

4/10 at best. Boring lyrics, boring solo, only good part is Starkey's drumming (which is, frankly, excellent in all of the tunes) and a pretty good riff.
The Nature of Reality is much better, though that isn't saying much.

I agree with you 100%, especially on the 'second part' Sure, Liam and Noel don't get along, and sure most of that is made up by the media. But what they both have in common is love for music, and more importantly love for the band. Noel would NEVER compromise the band for his sibling rivalry with Liam. For anyone to suggest otherwise if ludicrous.

"Noel would NEVER compromise the band for his sibling rivalry with Liam. For anyone to suggest otherwise if ludicrous. " You really believe, that if noel would open NME and read that liam is writing better songs than him and saves oasis albums blah blah, he would be proud of liam and happy for the band....? I dont see other explanation for AGN apearing on the same album with Falling Down and not on the same album with...Life in vain....

I would give it a 6.5 and I'd put that up to 7.5 if it didn't have that 'here's a sawng, sing alawng' lyric. Good song, and I really enjoy the chorus the second time round.

I dont see other explanation for AGN apearing on the same album with Falling Down and not on the same album with...Life in vain.... Yes, I really do believe it. Noel wants the band to succeed. We've already heard Noel big up I'm Outta Time many times recently, and in the past he talked a great deal about how good TBTWB is (despite it somehow not making the album), and let's not forget he included SB on the greatest hits and its always on the set list. If Liam became a great song writer, and Noel lost the plot, Noel would be frustrated at his inability of writing good songs, no doubt, but he would love it that Oasis were still going strong thanks to his brother. I can't believe you're trying to create a conspiracy and paint Noel as a very malicious guy. You're off your rocker, mate.

AGN is bad. the demo is bad and the DOYS version is bad. it just isn't a good song. at all. it's clear they didn't want it on the album.
but AGN is not all that appalling live.

The string section in AGN is tops. As is the drumming.
Along with TBWTL - this song is better live.

It's decent. At only 2 minutes it's over pretty quick so that's a positive lol. It's just a short burst of energy like someone said. But....
MOS > AGN

The song might not be a 7.5 out of 10, but the production value makes the song this good. It is the best album filler imo for DOYS. TNOR is by far the worst song on the album and possibly in Oasis' history.

If some of the songs (not sure wchich, but I'm guessing (GOYHHL) were meant to be bsides, I wonder how the A-sides that were meant to be on DOYS would sound like.
