Its tough as balls but I'll go with Lennon he wrote the best tunes in my opinion. They all were genius but just think of Strawberry Fields and what you thought of it when you first heard it. Blew my head off.

Gotta be George 'the quiet one', closely followed by Lennon, if it was the other way round and was 'who was your least favourite beatle' then it'd be paul by a long way

The only two relevant Beatles imo are John and Paul. Together they are magic and both were mediocre in their solo careers imo. John had the Rock n Roll voice while Paul was more dynamic in the styles of songs he could do. I think John was prolific in the early days and had some great songs in the later Beatles. Paul was the exact opposite. Since the Beatles are my favorite band this is a difficult decision.
Paul wins by a hair.

I don't know every Beatle as a person, have my thoughts by my guesses and by the book I read some time ago, authorized biography written by Hunter Davis (not in English, translated). John is the most talented man, though he had some kinks; Paul is a man who works every time, but I a bit don't like him I don't know why; I didn't like George most of all; to say about Ringo, he is, I think, the best as a person from Beatles. I voted for him.

Voted George with Paul a close second.
Never seen the whole fascination with John Lennon - what I mean is that I don't get why he is hailed as the undisputed number one Beatle.
I personally think Paul was the more talented - let's pretend he had loads of inner demons and had been the one killed, then more would say Paul. But then everyone says 'Oh, he wrote some shit like Ob La Di Ob La Da (which I love infact)'. I'm telling you now, people seem to forget that Lennon wrote the unforgivable 'Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill' and the pretentious beyond belief shite that was Revolution 9 (not to mention all that Two Virgins nonsense).
I love them all - but Lennon doesn't deserve the 'undisputed number one Beatle' that everyone baffingly seem to label him as.

During the Beatle era I think that John wrote the best songs so I will vote him but over a career Paul has put out an astonishing array of music!!! George seems to be getting a lot of love here--in my mind he had a few great songs with the beatles and then blew his load on All Things Must Pass before putting out some absolute shit post ATMP...

Putting Traveling Wilburys together and Cloud Nine album. I like all Beatles music and lately listening to a lot Lennon's solo stuff.
