I too was at the Patriot Center show on Saturday and thought it was excellent. I have seen them many times and they truly seem to be enjoying themselves more than ever. A couple of points about their tour in general where I think they could make some tweaks that would make it outstanding:
1) Dump Songbird, Meaning of Soul, Ain't got nothing on me - those songs are a waste as I feel like Songbird was forced on us by Liam as a song we should love, but it isn't that good and I can't believe it made Stop the Clocks. MOS and AGNOM are average at best songs and there are so many better songs to turn to.
2) Learn how to play Bag it Up and The Turning and add them to the playlist. It's a shame that two of the best songs on the new album are not even played on the tour! Those songs rock and would be awesome live.
3) Make the show 2 full hours and add rockers like d'ya know what I mean, Bag it Up, The Turning, My Big Mouth, I Hope I think I know or many others.
I actually don't mind the same playlist for every show, as I think they were very tight on Saturday as they've mastered those tunes. I just think they could improve they playlist and that would make for the perfect Oasis concert.

Yeah I definitely agree. It was not easy to explain to my friend why they weren't playing the two best songs from the album. Ummm, they are too hard to play?! Yeah right! It would probably take me 10 minutes to learn Bag it up on guitar. Doesn't seem that hard to sing either. Very, very odd. I would get rid of Im outta time, just doesn't come across well live (LOVE it on the record though). I would keep one of MS or Aint got nothing. They are good transition songs, but sound so similar. Falling Down I also don't think really belongs in the encore. Go Let it out would be a great addition to the set. Great sing along. Stand by Me was always good too. The main thing is...why the hell aren't they playing Bag it Up and the Turning??!?

I agrre w/ all of these points; however it is not the guitar parts that are posing the problem but rather the vocal they would need from Liam. thats not to rag on Liam as I have accepted the 'vocal change' as it is what it is but there are several difficult parts in both TT and BIU that would be difficult to hit under the best of circumstances. Also the harmonies are quite intricate although I suspect the cheif would have no issue.

Falling Down I also don't think really belongs in the encore. falling down along with to be where there's life are probably the 2 songs that sound the best live from the new record. it's perfect where it is

I think the setlist is fine. As stated a hundred times before here its very doubtful they will ever do The Turning or Bag It Up live. I personally love Songbird and Ain't Got Nothin live. Meaning of Soul I am indifferent about, its a great song live but I wouldn't particularly miss it.

Songbird is GREAT live. MOS is great too but I could deal without it. And AGN must go.

I really don't care much about bag it up and the turning... I mean I also want to hear these songs live... but just like all the other songs that never have been performed live... I would hate to no have shock of the lighting and to be where there is life in the setlist... but I guess they can play all the songs... they just need some time to learn them.. and I guess they thought that would be easier to learn this songs... but when they realize that they would need more time to learn them well they just drop them... I hope they have some time on the spring to learn them well and give a very pleasant surprise on the stadiums tour...

The Meaning of Soul would be fine if they didn't count it as a number. For fuck's sake, it's a minute long and it should be counted as part of Cigarettes and Alcohol!

The setlist is suffering from Acquiesce deficiency.

They'll play whatever they want. And it's fine the way it is. It's always complaints here and there.

Wish Noel would do his famous CS outro again, and the intro from BHN era of Supersonic, just little things but it's better than keep asking for different songs, which they won't do

I would LOVE to hear I hope, I Think, I Know live. Most of be here now would sound amazing live it's a shame they dont play any of it. Noel's refusal to play any of the BHN songs live if a massive crime against humanity. I doubt he even remembers songs like IHITIK tho. I still think Oasis should have more variety in their setlists. Us fans arent asking for an entirely different setlist every night, but some slight changes here and there would be greatly appreciated. They could easily have a "rotating setlist" with changes like the following: A. Play 3 of the following 4 songs from DM each night: Cigarettes and Alcohol, Supersonic, Live Forever, and Slide Away. Rotate which song doesnt get played. B. Alternate Lyla with another song from the HC-DBTT era. Lylas just simply never been that great live, and I think fans would love to see songs like The Hindu Times and Stop Crying Your Heart Out added back into their live shows. C. Instead of playing Songbird and The Meaning of Soul every night, alternate between them. Obviously Liam still really wants these songs in the setlist, but its a shame that both of them are played every single night over much better songs in the bands catalogue. D. Alternate Morning Glory with Acquiesce. (or a song from BHN... even though thats just wishful thinking on my part) E. Since combining Songbird and TMOS means one less song each night, add Bag It Up/The Turning. Once again, alternate. F. Take out I Am the Walrus and play a damn Oasis song. As much as I know people enjoy IATW, it just adds to Oasis' reputation as wannabe Beatles. Throw in a song like Don't Go Away, Some Might Say, Go Let It Out, DYKWIM, etc. and fans would go fucking crazy.

yeah admitidly theres no reason why bag it up and the turning cant be played live. I mean if a couple of 16 year old brazilians (the outs) can pull it of theres no reason why oasis shouldnt be able too. Sounds like pure bone idleness to me.
