Who's going?
I can't fucking wait. Going with my 2 best friends from when I was in High School. Neither love Oasis but admit that they do have good tunes, especially the old ones - here's hoping the likes of Falling Down will convince them otherwise.
After a long long semester, and an intense exam week, this is the proper way to begin your holidays.
Mad fer it. Roll on Friday!

I can't imagine wanting to drink anywhere around Camden...I think I'm gonna be enjoying a few drinks in the University City area before the show.

Why does everyone keep saying this show is in Philly? It's in Camden...
And no, the Susquehanna Center has an open back, but they close it in the winter from what i've heard.

Cos Camden, just like the entire state of NJ, is even worse than Philadelphia. Plus, it's just across the river, rendering it essentially in Philadelphia. No one knows where Camden it, but everyone knows where Philly is. Anyway, in 1 hour im off to my friends for dinner.

Those are some pretty idiotic remarks about New Jersey I must say. New Jersey is a great state and if you have a problem with it why not stay home. Washington is a shit hole. Thats why many who work there live in Virginia and commute.

And you newbie Oasis fans really show your colors. The band have played this venue multiple times in the past. Where were you at those shows? They played there in 98 in the winter. They enclose it. The lot of you should stay home so there's more parking for the real fans. Not that I think this was directed at me or anything, but i've only gotten into Oasis in the past couple of years. Doesn't stop them from being my favorite band and owning all of their music and being able to appreciate songs like Mucky Fingers.

That comment is the funniest thing I've read today! I think I've wasted enough time laying into a newbie Oasis fan who thinks forum posts determines their status as a "fan". Enjoy your FIRST Oasis concert. Where were you the other times they came around? Some "fan." Try not to wet your pants the first moment you see them walk on stage. Later.

Incredible! Mind blowing, even. This band is truly special......not only do they write good songs, not only have they remained consistently good and popular over 14 years, but they also perform one hell of a show live - and this is when they're supposedly 'past their prime'!
Liam was on top notch again! Slide Away, Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova, and Morning Glory had expecially good vocals.
I will make a separate thread about my new hypothesis about his voice when I have more energy, but I think that DBTT tour was just a poor tour for him overall, and that his voice is fine in reality. Sure its changed, sure its not as good as 1996, but it's def not as bad as 2006. You can see he worked on it, and you're now seeing the results. Liam still has it. The band still have it. And its ashame that we, including me, wrote them off only a couple of years ago. I'm now fully confident they can tour and peform live at this high level for years to come.
Hell, I even told my friend about Liam's voice problems recently. After Wonderwall finished, that friend turned me and said "I thought you said his voice was bad now....?" - That says it all, really.
DLBIA, TMP, CS, and Wonderwall were the gig's highlights, and really gave me a sense of what this concert would be like in England with real hardcore fans who don't just attend for the hits. That's my next goal, to see the lads in London.
On a side note, I feel bad for Ryan Adam. I didnt know anything about him before this gig (Bar his cover of Wonderwall) and I really enjoyed his performance. The abuse he got from the crowd was unwarrented.
Noel and Liam were funny as usual, with Noel claiming he was lucky to be playing the country's murder capital, and Liam tell the crowd that they're good, but not as good as us (the band).
Can't wait to do this again. Mega time. And next time I'll be sure to have a DD so I can drink.
My throat hurts. I have no voice. I'm knackered. Was a great deal of fun. The boys still have it. Amazing.

Hey, Notorious, where were you sitting? I was in the back-right section, J row, all the way on the left.
From my other post about the concert, you might think I didn't enjoy it as much as I did. But your post sums it up right there. DLBIA pretty much gave me chills. Noel looked like a legend during that song. The Masterplan almost brought me to tears, lol. I knew it was a beautiful song but live.... it just brought it to a whole new level.
And yeah. I need to make a trip to England to see them with a real crowd some day.

I was in the back row too, section 202, row N, seat 33, I was in the middle. Not a bad view at all. But next time I go, I'm also gonna get the more expensive seats.....we all know Oasis is about the atmosphere and it killed me standing next to empty seats/people who didn't know much about the band, y'know? And for those who have tickets for later in the tour, like DC and the 2009 leg, let me confirm: Liam still has his voice.
