Now, I know in MOJO there was a list of "10 songs to play before Oasis come on" but when I saw them a few weeks ago, there were tons of really obscure song, such as awesome Beatles covers I've never heard. Can someone shed some light on the songs played that weren't in MOJO's list?

Yeah, I've been wondering the same. I'm pretty sure at least one or two of the covers were by The Small Faces (Sounded like Marriott) and one tune was by Kula Shaker.

If you're talking about the gigs in North America, I know there was a Stone Roses tune in there...and I think someone covering the Stones Gimme Shelter, but I could be remembering that last one inaccurately.

It's a mix of a bunch of things. There's a good bit of it that comes from the Nuggets box set. and I know I've heard some Jacques Dutronc (60's french pop) in there as well.

Ive been trying to find the cover of gimmie shelter this evening too! This thread came up on google. Remember it being played at Wembley too - probably the last song before FITB came on.

Might be wrong but think the phonics might have covered it.

It was the Hawkwind version that was played before the gigs.
