Damn, you all got some great pics. I was right in front of Noel (8th row) on the aisle and the show was great, everything was tops. Thanks for sharing pics.

So I just listened to the bootleg of the show, and his voice definitely sounded a lot better in person.

where did oasis stay??? n the past they always stayed at the TOWNSEND hotel in birmingham, and i did not see their bus. maybe they kept it low-key. the townsend is the only 5-star in the detroit area.

I don't even think the reviewer was at the show, because morning glory sounded great and I thought supersonic was one of the best songs they played, Chris HAMMERs the kick drum, which gave supersonic something extra. remember, they are called "critics" for a reason. what a fun job, eh, finding faults with everything you see...

And I just want to say, I now hate Ryan Adams and the Cardinals with a fiery, fiery passion. Why would Oasis have a pretend-rock-country-western-shit band open for them? They did tour with the Black Crowes, y'know ... Also a band called Acetone opened for them and the Verve in the mid 90's ... they weren't so much country but they did have a lot of country influences. Now I love all three of those bands and THAT would've been the show to go to. Apart from the big stadium shows, I wish the hardest I hadn't missed that. I dunno, I just think it's good to have some soulful country tinged rock pumped into you before a band like Oasis comes on, but I'm sure many will disagree. It was better than Jet. also have to remember that it was oasis who picked the openers, so they are obviously fans. there was a guy in l.a. yelling shit between matt costa's songs. i wanted to turn around and remind him that the band he was there to see actually handpicked this guy, so show a little f'n respect. also didn't help that costa is an acquaintance of mine. but get over it, it's 30 minutes to an hour of your time. why even show up early if you just want to see the headliner?

Was an excellent evening, top performance. My 12th(?) time seeing Oasis, not sure these days. I did record the performance... DPA 4061 > Sony PCM-M1 (Oade Mod II) from the 3rd row, pretty much dead center. This is perfect as most of my recording's sound came from the monitors on the stage rather than the stacks. Was the closest I've been to Oasis whilst on stage although the wife & I did meet Noel, Liam, Gem & former drummer Alan after a Proud Mary performance in Camden, England in 2001. I'll post some samples soon & will most likely post my recordings as well. Am hitting the london, canada show on Monday so we will see how that shakes out.

I didn't see anything on his ass per se, but on the video wall I think I noticed some kind of slip of paper hanging somewhere behind his guitar when he turned around.

Liam was soooo badass!!!! I love how he got into the prediciment with the fan during I Am The Walrus. I couldn't believe that he gave away the mic too. Liam sounds perfect live but when you watch bootlegs it doesn't sound nearly as good. This was my 2nd show I've been to for Oasis and it was miles better than the Cleveland gig I went to in '06. Liam kept getting pissed off with the mic and that was fun to watch. I also couldn't believe how amazing the Supernova solo was. I was in complete shock! Can't wait untill they come back to the states!

I forgot to add, that I'm pretty sure Oasis, or someone on the tour stayed at my hotel (Hyatt place). Two of their tour buses were parked outside in the parking lot. Did anyone that stayed there, see them? I wondered the same thing. I stayed there too (great room by the way) and saw the buses when I left but couldn't stick around to see if it was them. I assume it probably was because Noel's blog said they spent Sunday in Detroit and I doubt they would have gone all the way back downtown. I hope they got one of the freshly cleaned apples in the lobby

I loved the huge flat screen tv.

It's a picture of *a young* Paul McCartney. He had the same thing on in Chicago after the show and my friend pointed it out to me.

It was fucking amazing. My first show too. They played everything perfectly, and liam sounded great. The only thing I have to complain about is, that a few of us waited outside in the fucking cold for an hour and a half and they couldn't even come out to say hi and take some pictures. Shit, it was freezing cold and raining and they couldn't come out for a few minutes? Come on. I hope they came out after we left though, just for the few people who waited out there longer than us. Why should they come out? It was freezing cold and raining.
