The is NO chance at all.
The split was not amicable.
Besides which, he played with the band for a decade and probably had a really fullfilling career with them. No need to go back.
Additionally, I don't think that the band would want to play with Alan again. They have moved on.

Whitey's drumming is so intrinsic to some of the best Oasis songs. When I think of "Wonderwall" the first thing that comes to mind is that fantastic, skittering drum part. Before the words, before the tune. Same with the pummeling drums on "My Big Mouth" or the heart-stopping mini-solo on "Don't Look Back in Anger." I think he made a lot of Noel's songs come alive whereas they could have easily plodded along (I love "Who Put the Weight of the World on My Shoulders?" but it really trudges along).

alan was no doubt an amazing drummer but some of his drumming really was at fault for making the band seem overblown. during the morning glory and be here now era his drumming was perfect for the music they were making: it added presence, quality and quantity in the drumming. it always had a groove. but by the time of heathen chem, his drumming just seemed really dead. i think it had a lot to do with him switching his kit around to accommodate noel's drum loops: now if we could only get steve white to drum

Nah, we won't see him come back. That chapter of Oasis is over. Honestly though, I think that Chris Sharrock is one of the best things to happen to Oasis in a long time. He's a great drummer, he even tosses the sticks around a bit (oh my god, the critics will think a circus has broken out on-stage!) and his personality is perfect for the band - just a really cool bloke.

Hahaha.. good one NYR I don't think there is any reason for him to come back. I think it's impossible, really. I would like him to be drumming with Oasis, but it's just not going to happen. Period.

Nah, its a safe bet he won't be coming back anytime soon. The circumstances he left (Liam saying Noel to blame, Noel saying Liam etc.) are still no clearer now than they were four years ago when he left. TBH, I think Oasis have moved on from Whitey, and Whitey probably likewise has moved on from Oasis.

So my guess is No..........

Noel wasn't man enough to even sack Whitey to his face so no I don't think Noel could be man enough to apologize to him and ask him back.
I don't care what anyone says about how technically good Zak, Chris, or any other Tom, Dick and Harry are because when I think of Oasis the only drummer that comes to mind is Alan.
