mar this is one of many little things Windows decides to change itself for no apparent reasons. Your language setting have been changed. Change it back by going into control panel and choose regional and language settings. Make sure that everything in the Regional Options and Advanced tabs are set to United Kingdom.

You could try removing any other language settings.
Go back into language and settings in control panel, then on the Laguages tab, you will see a button labled details. In the next box, make sure UK is chosen as the default input language, and you can remove any other ones and just leave UK in there.
