Shame about Noel and his remarks. Have you heard the 2001 (Brotherly Love Tour) Denver bootleg from Fiddlers Green? Noel makes fun of the Denver crowd with similar bad comments. God knows why he has to say such things. Because he likes making jokes, and he's a pisstaker. It's not personal and the Americans should just fucking get over it. I doubt the Londonders were sobbing their eyes out like you lot when Noel called them cockney vaginas in 2000.

People need to chill out when that happens. I hate people who get offended too easily. Damn.
I guess I can see why one would get annoyed, but booing...
Somebody call the Waaahmbulance.

Somebody call the Waaahmbulance. that's not a fair assessment. let's just say, for argument's sake, that this gig was in australia and the word "indian" was changed to "aborigine." do you, in all honesty, believe they would cheer? people associated with manifest destiny have blood on their hands. it's not something to point and laugh at.

He also called out a bunch of kids taking pictures, saying, "Is the photoshoot over? Am I in the way of your shoot?" It wasn't particularly nice of him to do, especially considering that everybody drove in hazardous conditions to get to the concert in the first place. I heard some boos during both of his comments. I'm not sure about Noel's feelings but I have to admit they were annoying the hell out of me. I was in the 4th row, behind the five folks who were constantly jumping over their seats to the row in front of them posing for all sorts of pictures. I don't have a problem if you want to snap a few shots, you paid your $$ just like everyone else, but when you have to be constantly swapping seats with folks and jumping over chairs it gets a bit ridiculous after awhile. He was more outgoing with the audience. He threw his tambourine into the audience. Although it was thrown to a girl, some guy caught it. Liam pointed to him to give it to her, and went to the mic and said, "I thought cowboys were gentlemen!" The guy that caught the tambourine wound up giving it to the girl. Pretty nice of him I thought. I agree with you about the venue, horrible, horrible choice.

Noel's sense of humor is admittedly hilarious, and it is great to have an honest perception and perspective on things as he does in magazines, interviews, etc - it's more genuine and not fake.
However, that can only go so far; when people spend $60-$80 to come and see you play at least keep some of the quips from being too personal and 'completely insulting' and hostile to the crowd.
Yeah, and NL4E, I 'get' his English sense of humo(u)r, but when his complete disinterest in playing a show somewhere is obvious already, he doesn't need to make it any more obvious to the crowd - who are hoping to enjoy the show from the band the love.

Actually they are all dead now. The rest of us just continue to reap the rewards.

I doubt the Londonders were sobbing their eyes out like you lot when Noel called them cockney vaginas in 2000. I could personally give a fuck what kind of craks Noel makes about anyone, I get him humor. However, when in Rome, you know? But, on to the nature at hand, the reason Londoners would get mad at Noel for calling them cockney vaginas is because its a North and South thing, country men-to-country men. They both get eachothers dry humor. Its not the same if I, a Yank, am in say....France. I would not got telling any "How do you know a french mans been in your backyard" kinda jokes. You feel me? I dont know, man. He doesnt mean any harm by em, and if he does, that just puts Mr. Gallagher in a completely diffrent level.

Drove from Nebraska (8 hours) for the concert with my 4 kids. Always love Oasis, but I agree, the crowd was VERY DISAPPIONTING! We saw many people randomly leaving during the concert (maybe due to weather), but the apathy was frustrating to me.
