In November, Sheffield United captain Chris Morgan elbowed Barnsley striker Iain Hume in the head, resulting in a fractured skull and internal bleeding. The referee, on this occasion - presumably, not realising the severity of the offence - chose to issue a yellow card, a decision which the Football Association have used to justify taking no further action over a deliberately-inflicted, and potentially life-threatening injury: www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/1756539/Conversely, the FA have, in the last 24 hours, handed Patrice Evra a four-game ban and a £15,000 fine for his part in an 'altercation' (see playground scuffle) after Manchester United's game with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge; an 'altercation' which, by all accounts, was incited by the actions of Chelsea groundsman Sam Bethell. Bethell has escaped punishment, the FA instead opting to hand Chelsea (as a club!) a £25,000 fine. The FA ought to be ashamed of themselves.

I'm a Sheffield United fan, but Chris Morgan's an absolute nutter.

ah it was a very inocuous challenge tbh, freak accident. Not a chance. The only excuse for extending your elbows like that is in jumping to head away the ball, and Morgan's feet never left the ground. It was pure malice. In any case, it's not that I'm here to make a point about. It's the FA's blatant inconsistency when it comes to taking disciplinary action, and the way they apply the rules as and when it suits them.

Morgan is a massive c*u*n*t. The FA have bottled it massively, they're gutless wankers. If it had been some Hull player on Wayne Rooney would they have said the same? Pricks.
Normally when these things happen you get a chorus of players supporting the one left standing (vis a vis old 'Tiny' Taylor on Eduardo). "He didn't mean it," they cry. "He isn't that sort of bloke".
NOBODY is saying that about Morgan, because everyone knows he IS that kind of bloke. A massive, dirty bastard.
Personally I hope Hume sues the fuck out of him and wins. (Ironic too, in light of United's ridiculous lawsuit dragging on and on).
