"The SHock of the Lightning" made the TOP 25 "Best Songs" list on the Rock genre. It was ranked 6th !(Metallica@21st, KOL@23rd, Foo Fighters@24th)
"Dig Out Your Soul" made the 10 best Rock Albums of the year list. that list wasn't enumerated, so no way to know where they ranked.
On a side note, Oasis did NOT make the "Top Songs" or "top albums" lists on the BEST SELLERS category, such a shame.... __________________________________________________________________________
in the UK however... "The Shock" was not included in the top 25 best songs. Instead they chose "Falling Down" it was ranked 21st. surprisingly the Album itself did not make the "BEST ALBUMS" list but hey! it was one of the TOP ALBUMS in terms of sales lol
funny how different both markets are. perhaps if Oasis got more promotion here in America and did a bit better job of advertising, they'd sell more. the quality is there and people recognize it.

i've said it time and again, they really have the worst ad/pr people. It doesn't take a genius to book them on the late night shows in the US. And it doesn't take a genius to put them on MTV, VH1, FUSE or whatever the fuck other channel, station etc.

exactly!
the L.A. late night talk shows are out of the question now, they have booked music acts for the rest of this week, and after that Oasis won't be in California anymore.
the NY late shows(Letterman/Conan) are still a possibility but again, it is doubtful.
