Or is it just me? I'm talking the song, not the album.

For me at least, the production is what really takes the song to the next level. There have been live versions of the song that have absolutely blown me away as well. However, it took me multiple listens to finally "get" the song. and as for, PYMWYMI... when I first listened to SOTSOG, I actually would have prolly said that the song was one of my three favorite tracks off the album. I still enjoy the song tbh, although I wish a little more work had been put into it

The Masterplan is one of my favorite songs ever. So, no.
PYMWYMI is a good rocker, don't see why people hate it so much

Noel, on The Masterplan:
"This is the best song I ever wrote, this."
Nuff said.

it's brilliant. one of the best oasis songs, if not the best, but i can understand why someone wouldn't like it.
i think it is one of the best because it's meaning is so clear. it's epicness lyrically is matched by its epicness sonically...if that makes sense?

When I first heard it back in 96 I thought it was a bit syrupy and I definitely wasn't as enamoured with it as other fans but it's grown on me over the years.
Still not as good as everyone makes out but sounded great in Liverpool on the recent UK tour.

The Masterplan is a great tune but I personally am not too high on it anymore. Loved it when i first got my Wonderwall single back in the day but now just pass on it most of the time on my playlists.

I like The Masterplan but it wouldn't make my top 10 Oasis song list.

Still not as good as everyone makes out but sounded great in Liverpool on the recent UK tour. I think the latest tour is the best it's ever sounded live. Before that I thought it was much of a muchness live - great song on record but didn't transfer live. It's been one of the highlights this year though. There's a lot of songs that you love for a short while then get a bit sick of. The Masterplan is one of the few that I don't get sick of.
