Ofcourse, Weezer would go on first...Im just sayin'. That's the way it should be. well yes, some people here(in america) might be like WTF!?? Weezer opening for Oasis but YES, that is the way it SHOULD be. You see Weezer doing Oasis covers not the other way around. The same could be said for other bands like the Foo Fighters, Coldplay, etc etc etc...

Well I'm really not sure, if Weezer went on after Oasis, how they would be setting about following RNRS, CS, DLBA, etc etc. It would be interesting to see Oasis open for them but I'm just not sure it'd work.

At least they could have a "real sold out" tour in the staates!!!They could fill every big arena in every town,well.....don´t know if they would sell out the American Airlines Arena in Dallas??? Anyway,..."oasis and weezer playing the shea in New York on May"!!!That would be mega!!!

Anyway,..."oasis and weezer playing the shea in New York on May"!!!That would be mega!!! Shea is or is getting torn down buddy. Plus Shea has always been a shit hole venue. Weezer + Oasis would be a fun show. INteresting mix of crowd of geezers and nerds. But they still appeal to the mid 20s crowd.

Anyone knows anything about Free Peace? They're supporting them here, so just wondering if they're worth it...

Is this definitely a North American tour? This would be a really hot ticket although I'm not much of a Weezer fan. Both Oasis and Weezer headlined (or will headline) the Garden this year.

Love Weezer, but no way Oasis should open for them. Gotta be the other way around.

Weezer is one of my favourite bands, but they are less than Oasis.

Gotta agree with lgfaver... If you cover a band's song you open for them. Oasis would NEVER cover a Weezer song. And that's nothing against Weezer, they're a decent band. But The Gallaghers going on before them is out of the question.

I saw Weezer at MSG in sept. The 400's were empty and the 300's were 65% full or so. Billboard noted that 10,000 attended. So in the Northeast and the west coast oasis have the step up. That said it could be a different story in the mid west + south. Regardless its a great idea and it would alow them to play larger venues in secondary markets...

That point was good. There is enough research available (ticket sales, album sales, radio play) in every market to determine who the bigger draw in each city will be.
The Brotherly love tour could've used that. Oasis opened every show (I think) and in cities like Toronto which is Oasis country, half the audience left after Oasis played their set.

However, if we get a load of Weezer fans to go, then we might have a crowd apartheid basically where all the Oasis fans turn up late and all the Weezer fans fuck off after they've finished playing.

Oasis and Weezer? Yeah that'd be pretty awesome. A proper date in Toronto in the Spring? That would be even more awesome!
