Noel says in an interview that those two songs were meant to be b-sides. They had to go on because Liam buggered off to get married, and that there was no time to record the slated Record Machine and Come On, It's Alright - which were both originally going to be on the album instead of the Ain't Got Nothin and High Horse.
Damn! As much as I think DOYS is a brilliant album, it needed these two. We've all heard the demo of Record Machine and it sounded fab, while Come On, It's Alright was intended to be a single.
I think Liam Gallagher is a proper legend, but if it weren't for his awkward timing, maybe we wouldn't be criticising the second half of DOYS, thus making it the first legendary Oasis album in years.

Fucking hell, what a joke. Why not just push the album back a month? Fucking twat, Liam.
I actually like HHL, but AGN is well average. Second half tail-off, big time.

For all we know "Come On, It's Alright" could be a bigger pile of shite than "Aint Got Nuffin" and tbh High Horse Lady fits the album to perfection. So I'm kinda glad it turned out the way it did.

The second half really does fall off but sometimes things just happen for a reason. Hopefully we'll get these two songs on the next album.

Possibly, but it was going to be the lead single. The worst lead single was Lyla and that was still pretty damn good. HHL is decent enough, personally I would rather have cut Ain't Got Nothin' or Nature of Reality from the album instead.

HHL is very very good. AGN is enjoyable, not very good, just average... it would've been good to here those other songs.

1 - bag it up 2 - the turning 3 - waiting for the rapture 4 - the shock of the lighting 5 - im outta time 6 - high horse lady 7 - falling down 8 - to be where theres life 9 - come on its alright 10 - Aint Got nothin 11 - Record Machine
the best album of oasis ever! right there

as much as I love Oasis, they're always full of excuses. This would have been on there BUT...Liam walks out because...Noel walks off, etc. etc. Just let the music stand for what it is. Which is damn good.
For all we know a retooled record machine could be utter shit. Come On, it's alright could also suck a fat one. Don't hold your breath people.

Nobody has even heard Come On It's Alright so it could be a terrible song for all you know.
If Ain't Got Nothing was initially deemed unworthy of a place on the album then why is it played live?

Noel says in an interview that those two songs were meant to be b-sides. By "b-sides" I assume Noel means "songs we put in our £50 box set."

i love high horse lady, its one of my favorite songs in the album, so im kind of glad that liam got married in london..but im really curious about come on its all right, as noel said its kind of a james bond song and intended to be a single...and he is always talking about record machine, as a champagne supernova kinda tune....
1 - bag it up 2 - the turning 3 - waiting for the rapture 4 - shock of the lightning 5 - im outta time 6 - high horse lady 7 - falling down 8 - to be where there is life 9 - come on its all right 10 - record machine 11 - soldier on or boy with the blues

what the fuck? half the people on here just want more roll with its and wonderwalls.. yes they're good songs, but we need some rockers! the nature of reality's riff is sick and ain't got nothin' puts a little adrenaline in after a mellowed-out to be where there's life.. what's the problem with that ? obviously the tunes are meant to be album tracks but they do they're job well. noel shouldn't be paranoid of overdoing an album because ever since be here now he has been pretty self-conscious at times.. we could do with a 12/13 track oasis album:
1. Bag It Up 2. The Shock of the Lightning 3. Waiting for the Rapture 4. To Be Where There's Life 5. I'm Outta Time 6. Ain't Got Nothin' 7. Come on, It's Alright (assuming it's decent... otherwise one of those other amazing demos we know noel has) 8. Falling Down 9. The Nature of Reality 10. The Turning 11. I Wanna Live a Dream (In My Record Machine) 12. Soldier On

I've heard Record Machine and any version of that song would've been better than HHL

Give your head a shake. you have never heard it neither, but i bet you its a lot better than any of the songs by liam, or andy. i meant, i miss the days when all of the songs from the album are from noel, those are the best ones, no one can disagree with that. and you know that the first 7 songs of DOYS are fucking amazing, including liam's "im outta time" which is great! so you have the 6 songs noel contribute to the album on the first half, and thats the best part of the album! so imagine how good "come on its alright" could be! also that noel wrote it on the studio same as The shock of the lighting, which its the first single, and a great song. and we all heard the demo of Record machine, and its great. just like that, you know, i know it, we all know it. so take out the nature of reality and soldier on (i should put them as bsides for the singles), put come on its alright and record machine as the closer of the album. what give us! The best oasis album ever! and i not talking just about the songs, also the production, the sound, the grove on it, everything.

I've heard the demo version, but as we all know, the Demo may never see the light of day. And it could be retooled 50 times before an actual version is decided on, if ever.
All I'm saying is, stop hating on the album for what it's not. Which is the exclusion of record machine and come on its alright. Appreciate DOYS for what it is. A loud, rocking record with some great diverse material. It's a very Oasis-ish album. IMO, Ain't Got Nothing is what Meaning of Soul should have been; louder, faster, more rocking. Nature of Reality is a different pace for oasis. Would've sounded even better on DBTT. High Horse is pretty cool song if you really listen to the production of the song. and if you've haven't figured out by now, nearly 2 months after the album has been out, Noel is supposed to sound like he's singing through a tube. It's very Beatles-esq ala "Come Together." Only the verse part.

Come On Its Alright is getting hyped quite a bit by fans. I mean it probably is a pretty good tune (was supposed to be the first single) but who knows. I just wish that record machine makes it on the next one. That tune has the ability to be transformed into something magical.

You lot really ought to stop writing up hypothetical tracklistings. For two reasons.
a) you haven't heard the finished versions of either Come On, It's Alright or Record Machine, and are therefore in no place to comment on them; and b) Noel clearly stated that Ain't Got Nothin' and High Horse Lady were intended as B-sides, and yet each and every one of you has left either one, or both of them on your stupid fake tracklistings, leaving off unquestionably better songs in the process.
Just fucking cut it out, will you?
