Let's have it. Who has been writing the best music SINCE 2002 when all of them started actually writing
My vote goes to Liam. Since Heathen Chemistry every A-side has been brilliant. The b-sides aren't amazing, but they are pretty fine.

Noel, I cite the first 3 albums as ample evidence.

Okay, I should rephrase.... since the rest of the band weren't writing until 2002.
Does that change your perspective?

Not really. I don't mind the other stuff, but I like Noel's songs more. ;D

I like Gem's songs the best. I'll catch flack for it, but i don't give a fuck. Hung In a Bad Place is a proper rocker. The song was picked up for a victoria secret's ad. I love "A Bell Will Ring" and Love Like a Bomb, co written with Liam. Quiet Ones is stinker, but whatever that song lacks, Eyeball Tickler picks up. That song should have been on DBTT. And To Be Where there's life, on the new album is probably the hidden jewel of the LP.

Liam. Noel's got it spot on on Dig Out Your Soul, but I think Liam's contributed the best song on each of the previous two albums.

If you asked me this question a year ago I would have said Noel. But the problem with Noel is that everyone will defend him to the end of the earth even if he is playing crap music. Noel has all the BEST songs, but he also has a lot of bad ones recently. I think that Liam and Gem have been pretty much spot on, perhaps because they don't have to carry the same proportion of tunes as Noel, but I mean, limited (extremely limited) bad songs.
