Remixes are usually horrible. But The Chemical Brothers remix of Falling Down is mega.

Can't stand The Shock of the Lighting one though. Other than that, I think it's a great cd. I really like Waiting For The Rapture and The Turning alternative versions. The one song who did it for me on the bonus cd though, was The Boy With The Blues. Brilliant song! |

Not normally a fan of remixes but i do like most of the bonus tracks.
Cant stand the new i'm outta time one but the ones on the bonus cd for the album are good. Still would rather have 100% new songs as b-sides though

But I agree with Souldigger. It's ridiculous that they aren't releasing B-SIDES... it's all remixes. Garbage. I don't particularly like DOYS, so why do I want remixes that sound less inspiring? What is Oasis doing??

Would love more B-sides, but it's a double edged sword. For years Oasis gave us brilliant B-sides and get criticized for not saving them for upcoming albums. Now there saving there songs, which apparently theres a ton of, and fans are crucifying them for that as well. the gallagher boys just can't get it right.

I don't think it's question of saving songs for albums - it's picking the right ones in the first place. Noel would leave genius tunes on B-sides and pick shit ones to go on the albums. LEt's All Make Believe over I Can See A Liar, anyone? They should STILL release proper B-sides; we as fans would like the 11 best tunes on the album and then some other, proper tunes, on the B-sides. You get some hidden gems that way, at least, or songs that maybe aren't as good as the album tracks but have their own charm as B-sides. Holdings songs back for years and years and giving us shitty remixes is bollocks.  |

Just out of interest.
I think the remixes are a nice idea, its something the band has not done before and probably wont do again.

TBWTL and FD are the only two that are consistently mentioned as being interesting. The rest are tepid at best (with the Kooner remixes getting the prestigious Sucks Giant Exploding Monkey Balls Award). |
