I love the Beastie Boys. Catchy and smart. If rap was more like this, then that genre would be so much better. Part of me even hesistates to classify Beasite Boys as rap - seems like an insult to the group!
I feel that the Beastie Boys are one of the most under rated, if not forgotten groups around. They're not comparable to U2, RHCP, Oasis, etc because of the different genre, by they deserve to be classified as highly. They should be held in high regard.
Fight for Your Right Brass Monkey, Sabotage, No Sleep Til Brooklyn, Intergalatic, So Whatcha Want, Ch-Check It Out, Hey Ladies, Body Movin, An Open Letter to NYC, Paul Revere, Sure Shot, Triple Trouble
^ Almost all of those were hit singles, and that above list is pure quality. They have a lot of other decent tracks too

OMG! NO ONE ELSE WROTE ANYTHING! SO IM WRITING IN CAPS LIKE THAT SOULDIGGER GUY ALWAYS DOES (I hope he reads thýs and realýses how annoyýng ýt actually ýs!)
I love me some Beastýe Boys. I have all the albums on the ýpod. They are also the only 'rap' (and I too hesýtate to use that term to descrýbe them as ýt somehow suggests musýcal retardatýon) groups cd ýn my collectýon (admýttedly a greatest hýts compýlatýon) stýll thats quýte an achýevement ýn my eyes. Of course they embellýsh a punk ethos whých I dont thýnk 'rappers' have ýn general.

This man missed the old Kanye two years before the new Kanye became a thing. Visionary shit. RIP Adam Yauch, 47 is far too young. Never been a massive fan of the Beastie Boys but their influence and uniqueness for the time is undeniable - acts like Rick Rubin, Kid Cudi, Eminem, and now Kids See Ghosts have all clearly derived things from their sound.

The Beastie Boys were great behind the mic; they were also great musicians.....they released a lot of instrumental songs, and an instrumental compilation album.
I'll post some songs when I have a chance, I have to return some videotapes right now....
God bless.

One of the most interesting bands that there has been in the last 40 years imo. Going from punk rockers to frat boy rappers to everything else inbetween. One of the few artists that never released a bad album either plus they made some of the best music videos ever. Five classic albums in a row, with one of them been one of the greatest ever in Paul's Boutique. I think Licensed To Ill is one of the best debut albums around. This been a great performance shown they were more then just rappers.

Hello Nasty and Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 are my favourite Beastie albums. They were miles better in their later years IMO, especially performing live around 2004.
