I'm lookin to have a go at making some artwork but I'm wandering if there's any good photoshop alternatives?. When I look for photoshop there's loads of different versions and I don't know what one I would need, I think it's CS3 but you need to be a student to be able to use it and that I ain't anymore. I've looked at photoshop elements but can artwork like marcos and reevzie's be made with just elements or do I need the full one? I've read that Corel's PaintShop Pro X2 is meant to be almost as good but I just don't have a clue what to get to be honest, if anyone can help me out. cheers

thanks eva, yeah I wouldn't have a problem buying it if it wasn't so expensive, I don't really wanna spend that sort of money just to have a go at making artwork. Is there anyway round the needing to be a student thing on CS3 do you know? And where might one find a reliable torrent? thanks

sorry, I can't post any torrents, but if you google it, it shouldn't be hard to find. or you can try one of the free alternatives just to start and practice
