This weekend comes the clash between the best team in the Northern hemisphere (Ireland), against the best team in the Southern hemisphere (New Zealand). Both are fielding full strength sides, a rarity in test matches, and an indication as to the mutual respect involved between the two sides. Could be a match to savour!

^ I'll admit that there are a lot of guys with macho and bravado and no real talent, but the game itself is a tough slog to play properly. Love watching it, and its more fun to play then league. Glad there is some proper games at the moment. If only Australia could field a full team of half-decent players

so ireland are good are they. i hope they live up to the hype because we heard scotland had dangerous backs but the same old story they werent anything special i hope ireland actually are good.
the all blacks arnt as strong as they used to be though so i guess ireland have as good a chance as ever.
alot of our good players are playing in europe now so we cant pick them, so alot of the back line especially are kinda average.
but im not really a big all blacks fan anyway.
i do watch alot of rugby though super 14 air nz cup and sometimes heineken cup.

Ive just seen the confirmed Ireland starting teamsheet, and i'm slightly disappointed. Keith Earls- one of the brightest young talents in the game- has been dropped for the steady but unspectacular Girvan Dempsey, Jerry Flannery our hooker, who will be startin for the Lions on the next tour, has been dropped for the overrated Rory Best, and the sparky livewire Eoin Reddan has been dropped for Tomas O' Leary, who has potential, but isn't up to this level yet. The All- Blacks suddenly look like a much more daunting prospect! Although the battle between Carter and O' Gara will be fascinating. The two greatest out halves on the planet going head to head- whats not to like??

i dont rate o gara all he can do really is kick.
i think that penalty try was rough it should have beena penalty only i think. but ireland didnt play as good as i thought they would.

I don't agree with your estimation of O' Gara, but he was poor. Instead of keeping the ball in hand and having a real go at the All Blacks, and reminding them who was at home here, he kicked away possession all of the time, and our constant defending in the first half, although heroic, meant that we were never going to hold out in the second. Thought we had a chance when Carter missed those two easy kicks, but Dan the man certainly turned on the style in the second half. As the legendary Jimmy Magee would say: 'Different class!' Scotland put it up to South Africa, but were also left rueing a poor second half, while England succumbed to a mistake ridden loss against the Aussies. At the moment, it looks like either Wales or France for the 6 nations, but theres still time for that to change.
